Max Meyer signs.....fantastic coup for the club! One of the first things he says is that he can’t wait to experience the “perfect atmosphere” at Selhurst Park..........I assume that no one told him about the end of the HF. Whatever anyone says, it will not be the same, at least for some time. Emphasises what a huge loss this is to the club.....it is possible that the great atmosphere was a significant reason why he chose to come to Palace. I say again, really sad.

I was going to make exactly this point. The HF have been absolutely fantastic for us and I really hope that this can all be sorted out but, in the event that it is the end of this particular era, there is no reason why others shouldn't take up the mantle and carry on where the HF left off.

What we need is a drummer (with drum), committed singers and someone who can design amazing displays. I'm willing to volunteer - as I used to do some years ago - to help in any way that is needed.

One thing that would please me would be the opportunity once again to sing "We love you and where you play we'll follow" at times when the team needs a boost, rather than only after they have scored - which appears to have been decreed by the HF.

I reiterate that I'd rather the problems were sorted out so that the status quo can be maintained but we need to give Max his 'perfect atmosphere' and if the old HF don't want to do it I, for one, will.

Doubtless this will be greeted with derision but I love our club and I'm proud of our atmosphere and I'm not giving up without a fight.

Crystal Palace - dull it's not!

Good post & good luck . . .

Now, I have a Q? If the HF have truly 'disbanded' then 'shirley' there will be peeps within that group who will want to continue, SO, can they be contacted to join the new group?

Totally agree with this. I've posted this elsewhere but in the interests of generating some interest I'm reposting here. A few of us are getting together (via WhatsApp) to do our best to keep some kind of atmosphere going in the front of B Block.

We are not trying to replace the great work the HF have done over the years - not remotely possible.

We are not connected with the club in any official way - not interested in doing that.

We are simply supporters who want to get behind the team 100%, and hopefully joining with all areas of SP 'stepping up' after the sad loss of the HF.

Anyone who wants to get involved please message me here, or email palaceblockB@gmail.com and we can get you added to the WhatsApp group.

Anyone who has started something similar it would be great to collate things (and prevent any cross threads here!) so it would be good to hear from you too. It is really difficult to get something together in such a short time period so any positive contribution would be warmly welcome.

i dont want to sound rude or anything, i think the thought of the rumoured 170 thousand pound a week at the fine young age of 22 had the ultimate reason.

not the fact a 100 fans in the corner of the ground who screams and shouts and wave a few flags.

80k? still a crazy amount. i barely earn that in 2 years let alone 1 week and it would of took me nearly 7 years to earn that money at his age!!

i dont want to burst any body's bubble here but money talks. we could have the quietest fans in the league... it wouldnt matter to a football player

look at ozil for example.... hes on 350k a week and you can hear pins drop at the emirates... and they also dont win any major trophies either

I reckon you have all got this wrong.
Don’t forget HF are hardcore fans so they won’t stop coming.
Where else in the ground will they find a lock of seats?
So they will end up staying put.
Has anyone looked to see it those locks are available now?
Maybe they were trying for cheaper deal which would have been deserved but didn’t get it.
I sit near them in the AW and I can assure you the Arthur is way louder with way more people singing than the Homesdale
WE ARE TEH ARTHUR OVER ERE
I will be very surprised if the Ultras disperse. It’s their identity.

Surely even the most hardcore HF fan doesn't actually believe that

I can just imagine the headlines in the media "Max Meyer chooses Palace over Arsenal and Liverpool because their supporters make more noise"

"Staying put" won't be an option as their seats have gone on sale/been made available to other ST holders wishing to move. I haven't seen any suggestion of their asking for a "cheaper deal", but why would they be any more deserving than someone who's been a regular for 20, 30, 40, or 50 years or more?

Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing!
