That's a complete and utter garbage idea.

no automatic same-seat renewals, that's right.

And no it's not. So much of what's wrong with Premier League football in terms of atmosphere stems from people growing old in the same seats every year. it needs vibrancy and change. people who want to move closer/away from certain areas being able to do so...not the same old people in the same old seats who's sole contribution becomes to shout siddaaaaaan to anyone who impedes their view.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

When I first saw this thread I thought it was embarrassing, now mainstream outlets are picking the story up and making the rest of us fans look like morons. Every footy fan in the country are going to have a field day with this. [Link]

Again more complete garbage, from a self centered fair weather fan,who will spit their dummy out if they don't get their own way.Who thinks they are superior to other Palace fans who actually go to Selhurst Park to watch the football, and don't jump up and down waving flags.

The quality of our atmosphere has dropped.

It is now meaning we are going to get ridiculed each week.

Shame. We have lost one of the most unique and iconic atmospheres.

Yeah at first I thought I was open minded and optimistic we could regenerate an atmosphere but it seems that’s not going to happen and even worse, there’s the barracking and booing starting.

Enjoy the start of the decline and destruction everyone. It’s come in a different guise this time, but we’ll probably all know why v Burton on a Tuesdayin front of 10,000 because 3,000 season ticket holders haven’t turned up.

This is a ridiculous argument.

I've been sat with the same people im the upper tier for 21 years. The social aspect is a huge part of going to games for many, many people.

The facilities are terrible in the Arthur, why should we struggle just to get to the toilet while the holmesdale get a red and blue bar that stretches the whole stand, cause that's the way it is and if I don't like it I can move to the holmesdale.

The club should just tell people in block e, move, stay and join the hf or don't bother comming. There's only about 100 of them and if the club belive the best place is behind the goal then other people will just have to deal with it and sit somewhere else.

You haven't been in the Lower Holmesdale recently obviously. Haven't seen a bar that stretches the whole stand, what I do see is food outlets that are s***, food that is s*** and queues for the toilets. Do I hold the club responsible for this? Absolutely but they are my club and I will support them through thick and thin. Does not having a good atmosphere upset me? Yes. For the sake of the team/club can we stop the in-fighting/points scoring and go back to all getting behind the team. If the HF are threatening people on facebook totally unacceptable, if, as was rumoured Block E "residents" have threatened the club with legal action, totally unacceptable. FFS let's just stop the bickering. Rant over

Maybe I've missed something here, and apologies if I have, but why couldn't the HF just continue with their support where they were and continue their attempts at working with the club (especially with the pending redevelopment)?

It's the 'spitting out of the dummy' and just abandoning their own (and might I add brilliant) project that I really don't get.

There was no reason.

For me, the possible singing section and the HF disappearing are two separate issues. Long-term, and with proper planning, consultation and options for fans I think the singing section is good. For the club to realise they couldn't do all that in a month and ask the HF to wait seems fair to me as well.

The HF weren't forced out, they left.

They created this us v them attitude where the only options for some reason are to evict people now or have them not show up.

Oh, and now they may have damaged any chance of an actual singing section happening.

If the HF are following the debate on here , Id ask them to have a discussion amongst themselves and re-consider coming back. The club clearly made a mistake-but everybody does from time to time-i Is it really worth this aggro? Presumably you enjoyed coming to the matches-what is the point of boycotting them-you have less enjoyment in your life, people miss you, those coming to the ground enjoy the atmosphere less-if you come back now bringing drums, flags and noise, everyone will welcome you, and you'll be see as winners.Try and remember all the good stuff you've done with the club over the years. For the next couple of years continue to lobby to move, and the club can accommodate your request, when the new stand is built.

I certainly don't see the club as culpable at all but the debate would be very sterile if we all agreed with one another.
