Last year he criticised pay day lending (I agree) then of course it turns out that the COE had shares in Wonga.

His latest gaffe! Slams Amazon for not paying enough tax, low pay, zero hour contracts and leaching off society. Big surprise COE has millions in Amazon shares. It also turns out that the COE is a low payer and a big user of zero hour contracts. As for paying tax well the COE doesn't.

I am not against the Archbishop speaking out but if he is going to interfere in politics he must expect criticism the same as any other politician. As for not paying tax well isn't there a story about throwing the first stone?

One more point

He's right to speak out against these things but you can't take him seriously when the CoE can't get their own house in order.

I remember he was speaking out for the living wage at the same time as Canterbury Cathedral were advertising for staff (guess what) payment was below the living wage.

I used to live next door to a woman who was in the Salvation Army (who do a great job by the way), who used to bang on about the ills of gambling, and also that people these days want everything now, and that she didn't believe that these people should be allowed credit to buy the stuff they wanted.
