We all know they get the place “ROCKING”. The players want them so we should too. They are GOOD FOR THE CLUB ON EVERY LEVEL! Even my wife and daughter are pleased they are back, no doubt will the media and TV cameras! Come on the HF come on you CPFC!!

Painter, it is quite rare for players to actually talk about these topics but Alex McCarthy actually publicly stated that is was an easier place to come and get a result without the HF creating a certain atmosphere in the ground. Now Parish in his notes pre Wolves has clearly stated that the players and the manager, and I quote “put simply, they believe the noise you create makes them perform better”. HF firing on all cylinders = more noise = harder for opponents and according to the chairman our players and manager believe it makes us play better. I think the singing correlates to results therefore.

Patently the "singing" has no affect on results at all,over recent seasons our home record has been amongst the worst in the entire country.

I have no idea if support from the stands helps the players but I do know it makes my trips to Selhurst more enjoyable. I can't wait for the atmosphere to return. Although it would be nice to have a home goal and maybe a home win too. It would be nice if it wasn't pissing down with rain too but we can't have everything.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |
