25 year season ticket...

Is that seriously a thing?
How much did it cost?
Why 25years?
What if you died?

I actually don’t remember the detail. Looking back I think I bought a ticket for maybe 10 years and then topped it up. A bloke on the BBS seemed to know. All I know is I have had the same seat since they built the Holmesdale, haven’t paid for many many years and have two more to go. I am told it was a Simon Jordan initiative when he was borassic.

I am up in the top tier so I am not being moved out of my long held seat but I now feel this needs to happen to get the atmosphere going sooner rather than later ( new stand ) hopefully people who want to move closer to the singing section could basically trade their held seats for the moved supporters. Hopefully they are not all in block B .
It’s not going to be easy for the club to push this through but fingers crossed there is enough supporters willing to be moved and they are not left too bitter.

Personally, I can't wait for selhurst to be buzzing again.

What I don't get is why the older generation think they have more rights than anyone else. Nobody is ejecting you from selhurst, you're being asked to move seats.

People talk about the millennial generation but if brexit has taught us anything, it's that it's the young who are willing to move things forward. I can understand the frustration at the inconvenience but my god, it's a massive over reaction.

And there is the point

The club wishes to move primarily older people out of the best seats in the house and replace them with primarily younger people.

Ah ha . . .

So this is Ageism. Lets get rid of the oldies, as they don't fit the clubs brand.

Apparently I'm gonna be "offered" 50% off next years' ticket and 1500 loyalty points to move from my seat that i've sat and sung in for the past 21 years to accomodate others that are better and more deserving fans than me!

ABSOLUTELY GUTTED!!!

I cant wait for the HF to take centre stage and in years to come marvel at the Lower Holmesdale when full of our "fanatics".

Up the Palace (and lets hope we stay up!!)

I shall be writing to Parish. I want it guaranteed that I keep my seat if I choose to do so. That may in some way require me to agree to join the singers, which I am prepared to do. I am happy to coordinate with anyone else with a similar view.

I shall also point out gently (at first) that this has a disproportionate effect on older people.

Some serious 'listen and believe' going on there methinks.
