I need to lie down, I happen to agree with you Steeleye20. My conventional German cleaner (it was great) died after 20 years and I replaced it with a Dyson. I found it overly complicated to use, empty and clean the filters. My sister in law sold electrical goods she reckons they had more faulty Dyson's returned than any other cleaner. This was about 10 years ago but I would be very wary in buying a new one. For large scale cleaning many people seem to prefer a Henry so I may get one of those next time.

I don't know how your blood pressure is, but I am reading HS2 cost is now estimated at 104 billions........

All their products are good, but not without flaws and more importantly easily replaceable. Granted, they should be considered potentially as revolutionary in the way they have packaged their ideas, but, they would never had managed to do any of it without the publicly funded postal service, space programs, road building programs, etc, that have been implemented. I'm not saying entrepreneurs are pointless, but they are not the 'geniuses' behind the creation of the fundamentals behind their products. They are visionaries in a different way and I believe gvnt and entrepreneurs should work together.

If they were any good, and fulfilled his claims for them, then you would simply not need to buy them again. He did not invent the vacuum cleaner, it was not his idea, the original hoover junior was a far better product, it would last for many years. His tat with its fake see-through design, and that yellow thing that goes up and down , well you have to laugh that the public swallow that it is of any use at all. He should put a stripe on the next model, the public will flock thinking it is the F1 of vacuum cleaners.

The point I was trying to make is the free market is more effective than government for saving the environment. Another example, the clueless politicians behind the Paris Accord wanted to see a massive hit to the US economy – with factories shut and jobs lost – to reach an arbitrary temperature level when efficiency improvements in US manufacturing through better technology is reducing carbon anyway.

What better technology, Trump is supporting coal while the rest of the world is phasing it out. The Paris Accord is vital to the world, it is Trump's fault if he has completely missed the trick on climate change.
