I don't agree with aggression but I also don't think people should openly walk around with alcohol. Drink it where you buy it or wait until you get home.

There are many parks and green spaces in Lewisham which are blighted by drunks even though there are control orders the police don't move them on.

That is for the law to deal with not a bunch of religious zealots.
Please put this into proper context. An alien religion with medieval ideas that makes demands on the subjects of it's adopted, traditionally Christian and now mostly agnostic country?

And people wonder why Robinson is becoming popular.

Dan is the Fotherington-Thomas of the HOL.

Older, better read HOLers will understand the reference.

I'm ambivalent towards him. But he seems to have served more of a purpose than the people who subsequently made a point of his absence at the trials of white sex offenders (one may have been ex EDL). Somehow missing the point that he only exists because of the authorities inaction in Rotherham in the first instance.

Obviously if anti-extremism in the form of Quilliam is undermined by alleged racist links I'd rather Robinson were removed from the equation but then to some, standing up against a non-white group would be viewed racist in itself.

You can.

The method was questionnaire and it was carried out by Chatham House....link below.

The methodology involved 10,000 people from 10 European states and looked to find the attitudes in different European countries to immigration from Islamic countries.

The question I referred to was whether people agreed with the statement or not or didn't know to 'all further immigration from mainly Islamic countries should be stopped'.

Only 23 percent in the UK disagreed with that statement.

So basically the characterisation of my views by some on here as extreme or minority in nature.....in reality shows that these commentators live in their own political bubbles that don't reflect wider society.

As for how do I know it's correct. Well, I'm prepared to hear counter evidence....not conjecture, but evidence. Where is it?

Hi, in answer to your question as to where is the proof the poll was incorrect, I wrote and email to Chatham House to find out if the poll was factually correct and to date I have had no reply so I rang them today Un fortunately I didn't get very far as the person I spoke to had to look on their website to see if they conducted surveys the only information I gleaned was they don't do them on behalf of government.

So I then looked online to see how accurate surveys of that size could be and as I'm sure you aware there are mathematical equations to ascertain the accuracy, but the overriding answer I got was that they are snapshot not forecast so I am unsure whether a poll of 1000 people (which I assumed from the 10,000 people on 10 country) can be proved to be correct or not unless you truly know the demographic and political makeup of the people polled.

Well, you have put some research in, which I respect.

While I have no reason to believe that this organisation carried out a poor survey (1000 people isn't a particularly small survey) if you find out anything that concerns you please inform me.

What I would state, is that the even higher numbers within the other EU countries should make it pretty unlikely that the UK sample is particularly inaccurate....as if it differed significantly we would need to ask why....especially given the higher number of terrorists attacks here.

If anything the reality that the UK sample is slightly lower says something to the...in my view, overly comfortable mindset of many in the UK.
