Despite his size I don’t think Sorloth is a very good replacement/alternative to Benteke.
He doesn’t time his jumps of even head the ball properly.
Ayew has been used as a target man which has proved ineffective.
Roy can revert to Zaha/Townsend up front but although this gives us a solid look in midfield we still don’t look that threatening.
We have to hope for a return to form and fitness for Benteke and Wickham or a unusually productive transfer window.

Parish overseas an unusually productive transfer window???

Dream on.

That, my friend, is a real slur. Payday? I'm not sure I've seen anyone in football with more integrity.

He may well be looking more glum, at times, than I remember him being last season but to jump to your conclusion defies belief.

Rethink or think first.

Have we actually got any strikers? Doesnt seem like it, all hopeless, Benteke couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo, Sorloth out of his depth, Wickham never was prolific and never will be.....Roy just wants out, not interested any more other than as a payday!

Luka a decent shout for top scorer, again, may demonstrate the brilliance of our 'strikers'.

But this is really because a) we win a lot of penalties because defenders keep fouling Zaha; b) Milivojevic takes them all; and c) Milivojevic is bl**dy good at taking penalties.

Or perhaps we have no effective striker to score 10 plus goals a season on his own.

Well, for someone that's just hanging around until payday he seemed to have done a load of work on the training ground to achieve the result we did yesterday.

Sorloth had his best game in a Palace shirt and that includes vs Swansea.

He won his headers, he showed good close control and he broke quickly.

Also as he cannot be knocked off the ball by a gust of wind, he beats Ayew in that department.

He is nowhere near the finished article, and we must spend in Jan, but for now I hope Roy gives Sorloth a run.

As for the signings, could we please just sign players that the manager actually wants to play? Not too much to ask I guess?

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

His whole demeanour on the touchline, stands hands in pockets looking bored, makes no subs (until Sunday) and just generally looks fed up with life!! OK OK maybe I got it wrong but plenty of people were calling for his head a week or two back!! Like I said, it's opinions, everyones is different!! Hopefully he'll turn things round now, we will see!

My thoughts exactly. The big Norweigan deserves a spell.
