I was adding context by pointing that this example was not intended as a deliberately offensive public display whereas the other was. I was also remembering that the poppy burning earned a �50 fine and no one was named or shamed by the gutter press. I did that so we can compare what happens in this lesser instance. You can't see that both involve disrespecting the dead by burning stuff?
I was adding context by pointing that this example was not intended as a deliberately offensive public display whereas the other was. I was also remembering that the poppy burning earned a �50 fine and no one was named or shamed by the gutter press. I did that so we can compare what happens in this lesser instance.

I hope that clears it up for the hard of thinking.

The people who died in grenfell are dead. They cant die twice. They dont care. It seems that some people have forgotten about the ongoing enquiry. This will be the truth (i hope) of what happened. Wait and see the uproar when it comes to fruition about what actually happened and why. Certain parts of society are not going to accept the trurh. Watch this space. By the way all these buildings were cladded because of an EU threat about our energy waste. Not to make them look nice or worth more money. Why do you think all the cladding is insulated.!!!

I fear you are correct. I have said from day 1 many bodies / people / politicians are to blame and there will not be a smoking gun. People will take from the final report what they want to hear. Labour will blame Tory austerity, the Tories will blame the Housing trust and the manufacturers, some people will blame the fire brigade etc.
