What gets me is the total lack of respect Trump gets from the media. He is the President for god sake.

He might be unpresidential in his approach but he has never been in office. He has his own individual style.
If you don't respect the man, surely, you still have to respect the office. This is not happening.

No President has ever received the disrespect that Trump has.

It's because he's a c*nt, mate.

But he is President C*nt and that means you respect that.

What do we have left if we don't accept and respect a democratically elected President?
I think the problem lies with the moronic liberal/left/identity obsessed and their inability to accept defeat.

The same is true of Remainers. Peas in a pod.

I find the idea of respecting 'the office' extraordinarily old fashioned. People respect others because of what they do and say nowadays.

Trump has chosen to divide his nation. That is completely clear. It's amazing the impact one man can have, albeit he must have been pushing at an open door.

That is media rubbish that you gladly lap up.

What divides America are the same things that always have. Origin, wealth and historical resentments. The Identity politics of the Left and the self interested are making it worse. What a surprise that they then blame Trump.

Do you respect every democratically elected leader in the world then?

That's pretty petty and childish.

I seem to remember someone typing that.

That's quite frankly extremely one eyed.

The Democrats have been playing identity politics for years.....the Republicans weren't until Trump and even he is just a dog whistle compared to the Democrat's outright blatant shouting from the roof tops.

While I agree with you that credentials are one thing and individuals another I don't think you can take it to the extremes of not respecting democratic choices.

I didn't respect Obama but I've no doubt you did....even though either China nor Russia did. I didn't however agree with the ridiculous behaviour of rednecks in the tea party in respect to him or Trump's behaviour come to it.....However I see no such better standards in behaviour from the democrats today.....Perhaps from Sanders but very few elsewhere.

The way the Democrats and the general biased click bait US media have chosen to tackle Trump has been a disgrace....they have shown themselves to be poor losers and most of them not worthy of any of the self regard they seem to hold themselves in.

The nation was already divided, massively. To blame that on Trump is ridiculous tbh.

He can't be, as that would imply he is of some use to somebody.

Trying to do a deal now to avoid investigation of his tax affairs, his face has a resigned look.

Tax? It's errrrrr 'complicated'

I didn't blame him, I said it was his choice. Literally divide and rule. I also said he was pushing at an open door but it was his choice to make things worse not better.

He has the senate, they are stuck with him.....if the Democrats wish to spend their time with the house of representatives doing 'Trump derangement' rather than looking to make deals and being rational.....it's only going to look bad for 2020.....elections are won by winning the 'don't knows'.

Given demographics the Democrats shouldn't be losing elections....it's a kind of joke.....that amount of media control and money and they can't even close an open door on a guy caught in audio saying he likes to grab 'women by the pussy'.

That's how weak the Democrats are....only a party that lacking in talent and sense could lose to Trump.

Now he's improved the economy's base figures....when they said he would break them.

Trump has a good chance in 2020......and quite frankly that's even more of a joke on the democrats than 2016 was.
