I just don't agree with this..It's a bit of a stretch to say that any club is good enough to come straight back up. You would think that club or this club should but there's no guarantee, no matter how well or not a club is run.

'I bet Parish doesn’t have a clue, and that cluelessness deepens the longer.

OK, you would put your money on that I wouldn't. I don't think he's the best business man but I don't know how he conducts his business with any certainty. I do know he's was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth and he now owns one of the top 30 football clubs in the world.

I can see the errors, like anyone. Selling Murray was plain stupid but at the time, many thought that the money we got for was a great deal. I'm not in that camp but I wasn't as upset about it then as I am now he's scoring for weed.

You make a strong and a bit of a rude response about the Americans being rich and experienced in ‘running sports enterprises.’ How have they shown this experience?

I really don't see how you thought this part was a bit rude. I really try to be as civil as I can Rudi. Although you never know what people read into things. However, if you thought it was a bit rude, I apologise, trust me, it's never my intention.

In regards, to how they have shown their experience. I honestly have no clue. I simply don't know what they have done since they have been involved apart from put money into the club. I actually think that there was a change at the club when they came on board and I can't say it was positive but I'm not privy to the meetings they have. The jury's out for me.

and apparently they pushed Parish to sign Benteke and Sakho.

Really, is that true or a rumour? If true, if we paid over the odds and it's down to them but it's their money.. Aside the cost, I'm glad we got them, although, Benteke, Benteke, Benteke.. score some bl00dy goals or you'll have move on. We can't afford a striker that doesn't score.

and yet we hear rumours it’s years and years away So many years that you or many others may not be spectators any longer

I haven't heard those rumours and I really don't like rumours, they're just what they are. The last I heard was that the plan was approved by Croydon council and there was the issue of the affected houses to be sorted. I would hope that we could have something started by 2021 and I hope to still be around and able to support Palace at that time.

Please tell me in what way we’re currently being run well or the Americans have been so good for us or we’re in good hands with them.

I don't think the club is being run as best it could. I do worry about transfers. One mistake we have made is bringing Freedman back into the nest. The most he should get is a ticket to watch a game once in a while after the rubbish he pulled. Also, I just don't see how he's suddenly, this excellent transfer guru.. Parish has spoken about how he loves working with him. I don't get it but I don't know how their relationship is. Maybe there's another reason we sign Polish defenders who have no hope of playing. I'd kick Freedman out just on principle.

The Americans, Jury's out for me but I'm not impressed so far.

I can sum up my position on the board and Parish by saying that I look at our club as a whole. Were still in the Premiership after six seasons and I just can't see us going down. We have a really good team , imho. They're not getting the results and I actually don't think we play as well in these tight games as some think but we are far from rubbish, although I have been heard to mutter that word under my voice this season and last. The new stand would be nice..

Overall... Overall, I am still happy to be an optimistic, if not frustrated Palace supporter.

P.S. Don't get me started again on Pulis and Allardyce. From everything I have read, interviews I have actually seen and words I have actually heard spoken, they are to different situations with the same outcome. Pulis tried to stiff us after using the club but delivered in keeping us up. Sam used the club to restore his ruined reputation and did a great job but this club was never really for him but thanks for the work Sam. Pulis can Foxtrot Oscar.

Edited by Mr Palaceman (13 Nov 2018 5.30pm)

Agree with this. Pulis is a s**g of a man who was eased out of Stoke because of his excesses in the transfer market on mediocre players. I don't think we would ever have been able to match big Sam's ambitions in this department either.

They’re better candidates to come back up. That’s what I said and meant. Nothing is certain in sport but you try to get things in your favour. Our set up is a joke.

'I bet Parish doesn’t have a clue, and that cluelessness deepens the longer.

What has he wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth got to do with this? The football handling is poor, nothing to do with Parish’s upbringing or being a self made millionaire. And we’re in the top 30 on revenue, not on football. If it were football we’d be better than most of all the top league’s teams and some, but truth is we’d be the worst in the champions league and struggling in the Europa. I remember Fulham poaching Ajax’s manager sonit means nothing. I know we got promoted and have stayed here by buying expensive players and being lucky that the perfect managers were available at the time but if it wasn’t for Zaha and Popovic coming up with Jedinak and everything clicking into place at the right time, do you think it would’ve happened otherwise? Parish did well pulling Freedman up in the Bristol car park because Parish knew Zaha was going. Freedman objected but finances dictated our sales at the time.

I can see the errors, like anyone. Selling Murray was plain stupid but at the time, many thought that the money we got for was a great deal. I'm not in that camp but I wasn't as upset about it then as I am now he's scoring for weed.

The yanks have invested the money ringfenced for developments and financed signings before he tv money pays them back. Unless we break FFP that’s all they can do finance wise. But what about all the rest? Infrastructure infrastructure infrastructure?

and apparently they pushed Parish to sign Benteke and Sakho.

It’s true. I can’t remember when or where it was said but it’s widely known to be the case. The Americans like marquee signings but they give Parish Irritable Bowels.

and yet we hear rumours it’s years and years away So many years that you or many others may not be spectators any longer

A lot of question marks raised regarding how well Parish is being advised and the number of Palace old boys involved.

Always wondered whether Mark Bright's being a former team mate of Pardew prolonged the latter's tenure when it was clear the team had lost its way.

Roy's remarks about signing other teams reserves are also very interesting.

With regard to the Americans my recall is that they contributed significantly to some of the transfers. Most notably the money spent on Luka, PVA and Schlupp in January 2017.

I expect they’ll be receiving payments back from the club after those payments or own a higher share of the business. They’re not Simon Jordan’s triplet brothers but astute businessmen.

We’re not losing money. We operate under total revenue because of FFP rules. The problems are spending over the FFP rules and having the money at the time to pay for transfer instalments and agent fees. It doesn’t mean they don’t get the money back. It could be a loan but seeing as we have to operate as solvent business over blocks of 3 years, I doubt it.

In regards to the silver spoon part, I mean you don't get to make that kind of money unless you have some business quality, so I would say clueless.

Top 30, yes revenue wise. To me that is a serious business achievement for someone who apparently can't run a football club. Dead in the water to top 30.

You asked what the Americans had done, I said, I know they have put money in but that's it then tell me what they have done ??

On a slightly different note, I actually liked dreamwaverider's post. If things actually do come a head, that's probably the safest way to go all-round. However for me, right now the current setup is acceptable, other than Freedman in charge of transfers.

You make the top, I dunno, 30 odd, by default from being in the premier league, Huddersfield, Brentford or MK Dons included, if they get there. Once we’re relegated we’ll probably be dozens of revenue places away. 100th? 150th?

There’s being successful in advertising production and then there’s having the football part of cpfc set up adequately with the money we’ve earned since we’ve been here. You think it’s acceptable. Have you not noticed how Parish gets his pants pulled down every January? I think that answers your 2 opinions. It’s highly competitive and whether you had a silver spoon in your mouth or made your money in charge of advertising production, it doesn’t mean anything when the chairmen you want to buy from all know your situation because our setup, including all infrastructure is uncompetitive and not acceptable like you think.

Add 31st of August to January in dealing with Liverpool every other season.

Anyone who thinks Parish has not got a clue just has no idea. You don’t run a successful business and keep a team in the premier league for 6 years if you don’t have any idea.

Sincd we go promoted, we have finished;
11th 2018
14th 2017
15th 2016
10th 2015
11th 2014

We have reached an FA cup final and seen some unbelievable football.

You ask anyone in football if we are at our level and they would probably say, yes.

We have missed out on players in the transfer window or sold players we shouldn’t have, but that’s football. Parish makes mistakes, we all do. It took a brave man to sack FdB after four games. We have had Pulis and Big Sam walk out on us. Every challenge, Parish has some how pulled us through.

Just calm down and it will be alright. Plus, it’s been a million times worse that this. Anyone moaning must be too young to remember the Trevor Francis days. (Hand over face emoji)

That’s all been done by lashing out loads of money. When we’re relegated we won’t have loads of money at some point and won’t have any decent scouting or academy. We’ve seen plenty of proof of that. Instead parish hires ex players with zero experience.

The next big test is what we do with the Zaha profit once he’s sold, and if it wasn’t for that jewel we wouldn’t have been promoted in the first place. Sure we’ve been here a while, but let’s not kid ourselves it’s been done well. Once it’s over, it’s over.

We will get relegated at some point. Law of averages with the past 100 odd years worth of data suggests we will eventually go down.

How do you know we won’t have a decent academy when we go down. No one knows that it will be be like once we eventually get relegated, but from one this is for certain.

The club is in the best, most profitable position of its life and the facilities and infrastructure is in a lot better position compared to when Parish first walked through the door.

When we eventually get relegated, perhaps Parish may step down, he may be dead or this could be so far in the future we may not be going anymore. We can then see if the next man/woman takes over and can do a better job

I dont know about you, but my ST at Selhurst is safely under cover in the AW. Would I want to be out in the rain getting soaked on the touchline at 70+? No way. Travelling up North to some god awful city on a regular basis?
If he is doing it for fun, then he needs to come and spend some time with me if he has got some cash and I'll show him a very different experience!!
I hope you are right, but something tells me he is keeping his head down not getting confrontational, because he knows what will happen if he does, and doing what he can for us within the confines of our regime.
I hope I am wrong, but the thought has crossed my mind more than once.
I see Ranieri (67) has just joined Fulham.
These guys are suckers for punishment. But lets see where they go now. And dont forget they are below us

Are you happy with the recruitment of players and back room staff?Ex Palace players with zero experience. Roy has now brought his own man in. Does that give a hint?

How about how we cannot spot any talent outside of the Prem, unless someone else has had an eye on Luka or Souare. Pardew was manager and Newcastle had close contact with agents in France so we know how Souare happened.

The scouting is p1ss poor, sometimes the players aren’t what the manager wants or are good enough but do not fit the manager’s style. We then go through managers like a box of matches because we’re going round in circles correcting the circle of errors, yet it’s costing fortunes and creatiya problem further down the line, probably now. And you think it’s being run well? We’re here because we’re spending a lot of money with a wage bill in the top 8 or something. That’s not being run well, that’s just spending loads to remain because we’re not being run well.
