Perhaps we need a "Logan's run" style solution. It solves various problems:

1) Housing shortage. Tons of properties available, and probably at a knock-down price.
2) Budget deficit (shed loads of inheritance tax coming in)
3) Survivors with lots of dosh in their pocket through inheritance.
4) Welfare burden decreased (the majority goes on pensions, this will be eliminated immediately)
5) Less drain on the NHS, due to age related conditions no longer needing treatment.

Just one thing, can we do it on a once-off basis only please and maybe the age should be, oh, I don't know, 44 years old at the end of this year? No specific reason of course, it just seems like a sensible number to me.

Just for avoidance of doubt, the above suggestion is not entirely serious.
