Reading these last few pages, at least politicians are more intelligent than the majority of the population, although that’s enough to keep them in and more able people for the roles out unfortunately.

I reckon even Polly Toynbee would be embarrassed by these emotional outbursts and blame pointing.

Perhaps we need a "Logan's run" style solution. It solves various problems:

1) Housing shortage. Tons of properties available, and probably at a knock-down price.
2) Budget deficit (shed loads of inheritance tax coming in)
3) Survivors with lots of dosh in their pocket through inheritance.
4) Welfare burden decreased (the majority goes on pensions, this will be eliminated immediately)
5) Less drain on the NHS, due to age related conditions no longer needing treatment.

Just one thing, can we do it on a once-off basis only please and maybe the age should be, oh, I don't know, 44 years old at the end of this year? No specific reason of course, it just seems like a sensible number to me.

Just for avoidance of doubt, the above suggestion is not entirely serious.

I will give that a miss thankyou
On a note about the nhs and its reason for being.
I beleived it was to make sick people better, not keep people alive.
Bit blunt i know but an absolute shed load must be spent keeping people alive rather than letting nature take its course. This sadly is predominantly older peopke but we all got it coming.

So have you wondered why business is so against a salary based restriction for prospective immigrants?

They will go out of business they say. Could that be because they have become reliant on immigration and the lower wages they can pay because of it?

You figure it out.

The Brookings Institution in the US found that if you did these 3 things, you will escape poverty and have over 75 per chance of joining the middle class.

1. Finish high school
2. Hold down a job
3. Have children when you are over 21 or married

The poor are better off with the conservative principles of taking individual responsibility and not the socialist model of being dependent on welfare.

Personally you just move your company abroad like JRM etc.
