I have seen recently that Egbo, at the age of 21, has mainly been playing for Monchengladbach reserves with limited appearances for the first team. Interestingly, if he was still at the club, would it have been him in the 1st team instead of AWB? I think seeing young English players going to the Bundesliga for more game time is a positive but seems to have worked against him on this occasion. Nonetheless, very happy with the outcome and how well AWB is doing!

I have seen recently that Egbo, at the age of 21, has mainly been playing for Monchengladbach reserves with limited appearances for the first team. Interestingly, if he was still at the club, would it have been him in the 1st team instead of AWB? I think seeing young English players going to the Bundesliga for more game time is a positive but seems to have worked against him on this occasion.

Nonetheless, very happy with the outcome and how well AWB is doing!

Agree he is not good enough yet but not to the extent you're making out. Needs to improve his awareness and such and then he'll be a top player.

Sadly I believe there is some truth in these stories despite the disreputable sources and questionable activities of agents. City seemed determined to achieve world domination which means hoovering up all the best young talent regardless of whether they are currently needed. They already have Walker (2 and Danilo (27) so are not exactly short in the right back position. However, Wann Bissaka is an exceptional talent and has a temperament which looks like nothing fazes him and he�s only going to get better. Having said that he has only played a dozen or so games for the first team and Palace recently gave him a new contract. As long as he�s happy to continue his development with us I don�t see him leaving any time soon.

Sadly I believe there is some truth in these stories despite the disreputable sources and questionable activities of agents.
City seemed determined to achieve world domination which means hoovering up all the best young talent regardless of whether they are currently needed.

If it meant we could buy a striker who can actually score then I'd sell him. We have lesser but adequate cover at right-back and it's not a position that will get us relegated. There is no escaping the fact that we do not have any capable strikers at the club and it needs fixing.

I agree that the decision to re-sign Zaha was right but I question a chairman overruling a manager on player purchasing.

We've heard over the last few years about Chelsea buying players the manager didn't want. It ends up with a manager playing a way he doesn't want to play or a player playing out of position.
