The government, not the BBC says that Brexit will make us poorer.

That is the treasury view and the Chancellor has said it.

On the run from the Brexit thread won't alter the facts.

The BBC is completely impartial and always has been.

I watched THAT interview in Malta on BBC Breakfast with Charlie Stayt(cnut) & his 'leading' Q's were succsessful in making the Chancellor admit that, Ecanomically GB would be *ahem* worse off to start with.

The BBC brings Brexit into EVERY interview, Incl SPORT, as for your last sentance, that is soooo laughable it makes Russia/Germany(ww2) seem like a pirate radio station

win-win.

The economy will rebalance.

I am disgusted if I'd had none that the BBC were paying people to spout pro EU propaganda I would have been at the font of the queue with my hand out. That's a hint to you Remainers I can be bought.

I saw Auntie Beeb's denial "methinks the lady doth protest too much".

I've tended to find that a lot of Remainers I speak to think the BBC is biased towards Leave, and a lot of Leavers think it leans towards Remain. Which for all its many flaws means it's probably trying at least to be as impartial as it can.I guess it depends also which programme you watch/listen to. A lot of people and programme makers may well lean towards Remain, but anyone who's listened to John Humphrys on the Today Programme couldn't possibly make that argument about him!

The statistics on the BBC's bias towards remain is already documented......Number of guests who argue for it compared to against for example. It's not even close.

Any claims on impartiality for the BBC has to be seen within the context of the evidence.

Also The BBC is riddled from top to bottom with employees with left wing bias who employ the like minded......BBC executives of the past have argued that this be balanced out but it has never happened.

Once I learnt that....for me it was the final nail.

Go on...look at the front webpage on the BBC website.....are you going to seriously tell me that is politically neutral.

The issue for the BBC is more akin to an institutional bias that is commonplace in almost all organisations that are funded by public money and will always, by instinct, display far more sympathy towards positions that might be considered social liberal.

However, if you want to see real bias look at the coverage of the 'Gilet Jaunes' events just over the channel. Or rather lack of them.

Forget Paris. Yes, that is awful but the real story is in the rest of France. School kids being teargassed by Police, fuel depots being blockaded, almost constant and never-ending protests all over.

Long ago come to the conclusion that the most important narratives in terms of current affairs are found in what is not being reported on, rather than all the headline malarky.

And France is it, at the moment. Protests are spreading to both Belguim and Holland now. Although at least we are being spared the BS about Macron being the new, great white centrist hope, which is a small mercy.

I said at the time of his election he is a sheep in wolf's clothing. He was supposed to be a populist in reality he is a man of the establishment and big business, a French Tony Blair. It also explains his recent anti British statements, rule 1 for leaders blame a foreign country if you are in trouble at home.

Interesting as the government wants to massively increase fuel tax here as well. Obviously an EU agenda. We can all buy German lignite.
I never heard of these French protests until yesterday. I hope they get rid of Macron. French elections so rigged they are literally unbelievable. No one understands the French electoral system, especially the voters.
If it wasn't rigged it would be Le Penn and the end of Europe - so that must never happen.

THe most dangerous Frenchie since Napoleon. Just that bizzare dynamic with his wife, their age difference and how they met should be enough to sound alarm bells.

And now talk of him announcing a state of emergency. A truly sinister man representing the most authoritarian strand of 'centrist' politics around at the moment.

With our own Media barely raising a sound about what is going on.

Good post.

Those who hold the megaphone control the narrative.

Those who hold the megaphone control the narrative.

And boy, do they hate it when the narrative fails to him home.

Let's be honest, all this noise about a 'peoples vote' boils down to nothing more than petulant bad losing. That Remainers had assumed both the moral and intellectual high ground, having all the heavy support behind them both in terms of high finance and high celebrity and us grotty little proles then have the audacity to ignore them. Many of them felt humiliated on June 24th hence why they are refusing to accept it.

And it will be an eternal shame on this country that people are still openly discussing about making us vote again. The Leave or Remain issue was settled in June 2016. The people pushing for this second vote hold us Leavers in utter contempt. People need to understand and accept that. With the BBC merely representing that.
