You would have to say a good draw for both sides, from different perspectives.

Overall though a slightly disappointing draw.

If Soilhull can beat Blackpool, then Solihull at home to Arsenal is the most iconic tie.

Tough game for Solihull against a Blackpool team who have only lost 1 game at home in the league this season.

I just looked back (on the HOL database) to check that this is only our second home 3rd round draw across 12 seasons. Now that IS fishy.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I'm glad you've checked the records, because that's exactly how it's seemed. Away either to a Premiership side or - worse - to a Championship side.

No doubt that's what's awaiting us in the 4th round (without tempting fate, I hope).

I'd heard something like 15 out of the last 20 have been away ties!

It’s even worse than that, Deano. 17 out of the last 20 have been away. Grimsby therefore makes it 4 home draws in 21 years. Surely yet more proof that the FA Cup gods hate us - just as much as all the other gods!
