It was clear from the Wolves game that there’s a lack of attacking quality within the squad and we need an attacking midfield player, winger and cf.

Some of the football we played last season at home was excellent when we had players such as Cabaye and RLC available. This squad comparativey lacks attacking guile. Whether that’s down to Roy, the Board or both I don’t know but SP indicated in his programme notes that he and Dougie are responsible for getting the players in. Summer Net spend was only £10mil ?

Can't argue with it. He's here for another season and then retires. For us that is a period of unprecedented stability. Hopefully we'll be in a position to replace him with a youngish progressive manager like Jokanovic. Despite what happened with Fulham I think he could be a great appointment.

The problem is recruitment, nothing whatsoever to do with Hodgson.

Nonsense. What we are witnessing is the same as Hodgson's time as England manager. Negativity, shift the blame, players out of position. Kane taking corners? Wilf centre forward? Come on now!

He’s here for another season after this season?

I understand the criticism being levelled at Roy after the meek surrender against Chelsea.

But in terms of player selection, he has very few options up front.

Roy has long liked a conservative formation for the first 75 minutes before really letting Wilf go out wide. it's become quite predictable and tells us he thinks palace are less effective when wilf's playing wide against a fresh team.

I think Sorloth would be fine at CF if we want to mix it up and be less predictable.

He has options. They may not be particularly good. Also, watch the post match interview when Wickham gets mentioned, the shifty look, the denial. Hodgson shifts blame and will never admit he has made an error of judgement.

The problem is the constant changing of managers, which means any new manager has to work with what he inherits. It’s not only a problem at Palace, as you can’t just shift unwanted players out easily. We aren’t a big enough club to be able to stock pile old players and get new ones in to suit the current manager.
So the question who’s fault is it, isn’t clear cut, as managers don’t always work out, there were 12 sackings in the Premier in 2018 and we didn’t for a change.

I believe that is when his contract ends. I'd be surprised if he walks away.

Just pay him off the end of the season and say it's mutually agreed it's best for both parties. Club will have a big overhaul in the summer, I wouldn't be surprised if zaha Townsend and benteke all leave
