Cause if he had been sent back to Swansea a place for another loanee would have been freed. Now he'll surely stay on for 6 more months. Sure, the goal got the team 2 extra points tonight. But in the long term, is it a good thing? Will he be able to score at least 5-6 more till the summer?

I don't rate him. Glad he scored but I don't think he's what we need for the rest of the season.

What I liked about his goal today was that he burst into tears after scoring it. Showed it meant a lot to him.

I hope if he stays that he can get involved in games. I started watching the game a few minutes in and missed the start. I honestly didn't notice him until about 30 minutes in.

Roy seems to like him. If he scores 5 more like that before the end of the season, that wouldn't be bad.

Quality goal today.

I also noticed his tears,he cares and I like that.

Cracking finish also will give him confidence.

Im not sure a single goal will save him and I wouldn't really miss him if he went. I was hoping that Wickham was going to start today. Im glad JA scored but it hasn't worked out for us so if there is the chance of a decent alternative I would rather go with that.

That trap, turn and finish is precisely what we need for the rest of the season. Everyone else who's had to convert chances like that has either blasted it first time into space or whacked it straight at the keeper. Didn't look like any kind of fluke or luck, the take-down was good skill and then the placement where the keeper had no chance - and the composure to execute under pressure. Excellent.

Showed passion and relief, will never knock either.

Could be our dark horse for the second half of the season.

I rate him and I am glad if we keep him. He's a confidence player who has been playing nowhere near his best. It's not the first time I've watched him control a fast and difficult ball dead at his feet. Get this guy confident and enjoying his football and we will see a great Palace player.

Pretty much sums up what I'm too drunk to elucidate on, I don't believe that we brought him in without seeing some potential. Would definitely play him upfront with the threat of Wickham at the 60-70 min stage.

The tears really struck a chord with me.. he took that ball so well, it was a great goal... feel sorry for him as it's probably hard to come into a place and not perform, but the players were good to him.

It was the oft missing composure in front of goal which is so rarely seen by our forwards which stood out.

This game is a lot about confidence, he might be able to crack on now and actually offer some value for us off the bench.

With benteke back soon he won’t be starting though and they want to loan a striker of course aswell.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Precisely, he is on the evidence of last night against excellent opposition everything we need in our bid to score goals and create opportunities, from the very start he stood out for me and showed exactly what Hodgson sees in him, confidence and frustration was killing him and putting us off, same as with Benteke, should definitely keep him ...was a beast last night.
