I see we have ended or interest in Solanke.

I smell another window of pretence and no spending.

Ayew has been useless for the entire season and scores one goal and Wickham has played 5 minutes without breaking down. Now everyone thinks we can relax.

Parish must love Palace fans.

Can I remind everyone that our goals total is the third worst in the league. Our striking options are not good enough and Parish is doing what he always does.

You nicely forgot to mention the five clean sheets in eight, we have no problems on the pitch.

Players need to play in their natural roles. If Ayew is to stay or go he scored a crucial goal, and it showed! Let these guys off the leash Hodgson and we'll see

What are the alternatives?

Just can't see our chairman agreeing to pay 20m for Tammy Abraham. He's the only decent player available in this window.

I was gutted when he scored, because it likely meant that he would stay. he's been pretty woeful since he's been here...he did more in that 90mins last night then in the rest of the season!

Having said all that, and even though it was borderline offside, he took he's goal beautifully!

I wouldn't sign him though...back up player at best

Bizarre!!

He’s better than kouyate. Don’t rate him at all. Reminds me of bambi and gives the ball away nearly as much as Puncheon.

Blimey, how an earth did you come to that conclusion? Kouyate's been awesome.

I cant agree with that. What i would say is he's been quiet in the last 2 games...but he and McArthur have formed a fantastic partnership in the middle breaking up the oppositions possession on so many occasions. When you do this it's inevitable you'll lose the ball in the challenge, but I'd sooner him in there than not. he's been a great signing for the money we paid!

I get what you're eluding to, and clearly i'd sooner he'd have scored the chance then miss it; however in the wider context of what it likely means; I was gutted!

I doubt that he was crying because he scored for Palace, but rather that he scored his first in 20 games.
Send him back.

I didn't forget anything.
Our defence is the only reason we aren't in the bottom three but you won't win many games if you can't score.

Roy saying that Benteke will be like a new signing if he gets fit tells you how this transfer window will go.

I love to be wrong when it comes to Palace my negativity but we have seen this scenario in several previous windows. Lots of players linked, deals falling through and then we make a last minute signing of someone totally underwhelming.
I have already stated my theory that the owners wish to spend no more real money because they want to put the club up for sale after the new stand is built.

Once again I hope to be wrong.
