i do not see the attraction of this guy.

he strikes me as the last choice on the shortlist, in which case is he in my mind is not worth £7 of my clubs money and more than likely thick end of £50k a week.

if we are going to make signings, lets make them because they are better than what we already have.

Since it appears most likely that he would replace Sørloth in the squad, he is better than what we have. That is, a proven average mid-to-lower table Premier League frontman, as opposed to an unproven one.

Since we will still presumably be hoping to have Benteke and Wickham available for the rest of this season, it doesn't seem a bad shout to me. Then if needs be we could look for a new primary striker/s in the summer.

I'm with Matteo on this one.

I'd Rather buy Niasse than loan a youngster like Solanke. Half a season of developing other teams strikers is not my preference. Diving aside, Niasse has been a reliable scorer for his limited minutes.

It takes Roy a long time to warm up to young players (unless forced), he likes experiences prem players. I'd love Tekkers and Wickham to get fit and start banging in the goals, but history says they may get crocked again.

I hope Ayew is warming up his scoring boots at last, but I'd prefer Niasse coming on to allow two strikers as an option.

Cheap cover, and if he bangs in a few goals he could actually have sell-on value. And hopefully Kouyaté could help keep his head on straight.

RLC not bad for half a season?

Yes, but for every RLC there are several Bamford and Sanogos!

RLC was great (but took the first half of the season to adjust and earn Roy's trust), and he did help us for sure, when he was fit.

But now his breakthrough benefits Chelski (ok and maybe England). Our development of him put him out of our price range now. Even though he can't crack their starting line up.

I'd rather try to find the next Luka than develop talent for the top 6 teams. (Unless we're in relegation desperation mode)

Not sure why we want this guy. He has never been a regular wherever he has played. 28 years old and only 78 league starts in his career

It's normal to be an attraction cause he has Kun Aguero numbers considering the actual minutes he played. Probably the best sub in the Premier League.

12 goals and 5 assists in 2600 minutes since comming to England.

Goalscorer in Russia, Turkey and the Europa League before that, basically everywhere he played.

How can you not seee the attraction?

Problem is he hasn;t had matches this half of season, so I don;t know how "on fire" he comes.

Best sub in PL!! That is a bit far-fetched.
Your last sentence surely answers your previous one.
Also didn't Palace claim he failed a medical due to arthritis in his knee?

Tabloids are saying we have made a £6.5mm bid for him. If true I would be OK with that then go for a proper striker in the summer.

No. We didn't sign him before due to his agents financial demands - hence my question earlier in this thread, has Niasse changed agents ?!

What I would like to know is what similarities are there between Solanke and Niasse - if any ? How did we identify Niasse as the next best option ?
