Which we already have cover for. I'm really just intrigued why folk are having a pop at the club for potentially 'missing out' on someone we don't even know we're in for in the first place. I do sometimes wonder whether our 'poor recruiting' rep is based on fact or just click bait/lazy reporting? If we were genuinely in for all of the players that get touted each transfer window we'd need the biggest recruitment dept in the league.
We have cover for the wide positions? Whos that then? Moses would get plenty of game time with Palace

PVA is our LWB, Schlupp is the only cover we have on the left and Kaikai isn't getting a game anytime soon. You can't call a player playing out of position cover and it's on the right we are really short. We are one Townsend injury away from a massive hole in our team. If we can get Moses for a decent price he would be a great player to add to the squad. Everyone's saying how desperate we are for a striker but we already have 5 of those! No idea what our wage situation is like at the moment, from reports we are always broke but we've got rid of three players on decent wages so I wouldn't be surprised if they go towards the wages of at least one new player (may also loan out at least one more player as well)

What he did do was pick the team he thought would get the job done. The bench could’ve had any of PVA, Luka, Tomkins or Sakho too but Roy chose not to even risk those at all. Reality is, Schlupp has spent much of his career left wing & Ayew plays on either.
