If true this is good news as it is exactly what he needs to get up to speed and also means that, hopefully, it signals we have another striker coming into the club.

Or maybe he could be as poor as ever, miss two sitters, look completely clueless positionally and still seriously off the pace. Outfought, outplayed and ineffective.....against fourth tier opposition!

Strange choice from the club if true, needs gametime in the English game and a Championship side would make much more sense. If he scores 10 at Gent (which I don't think he will)we still don't know a thing.

I’ve seen all the poor strikers over the years from Tony Mahoney through to Jermaine Easter.
I’ve been as frustrated as anyone by Sorloth.
He doesn’t jump, anticipate, run behind defences or use his size to battle with defenders.
And yet...against my better judgement I think there is a player in there somewhere.
He looked promising in his early cameos last season but seems to have gone backwards and coaching over the year certainly hasn’t improved him.

But it was a looping, ineffectual header. We need someone who heads the ball with venom - yes Jordan Ayew!
