This guy is no real improvment on Sorloth. He cant get in the Everton team and they want rid because they think he's pony.
So along come Palace...
Recommend a major swerve

Following Palace since 25 Feb 1978

You may be right, but we seem to have been after this guy in most transfer windows, So Hopefully enough homework has been done him .

Good player, Improvement on what we have.
And let's be honest, better than anyone else we can afford/attract within our current situation.

These names we are linked to including this ones just shows that we are still running off lists from years ago.

I don't see how we would even go for this guy SP said himself the deal fell through before due to this guys greedy agent wanting more money before signing the deal last time so why would you even try to do a deal with some one like that again.

or was SP lying?

I think Niasse could actually score quite a few goals in the system we play with some of the pressure we put on teams at home sometimes. The problem is if Roy leaves this summer I doubt many managers would really be rushing to put him in the team, put it him on from the bench or build tactics to suit this guy, or maybe because I think he could notch a good few of the chances we create he wouldn’t be a bad signing. It’s when you think of anything nearer the halfway line I think he’d be like a traffic cone. He isn’t known for holding the ball up and that type of thing, and before anyone says it, Defoe is small and he can do it or keep himself or the ball away from being tackled or completely kept out of the game. I’m not saying sign a 37 year old, but a slighter player can hold the ball up, if you’re not as weak or limited as Jordan Ayew, who you may as well write off unless the ball and goal are in front of him. Any upper hand for the defender and it’s posse turned over.

Yes I agree. For all the Tammy, Batshuayi and Rebic talk the reality is we were actually looking at a players at Solankes level. For me Niasse would be a good signing. He’s probably the best of the strikers I would imagine we have under consideration. I just can’t see palace genuinely signing off on a player of Bats or Rebic calibre, Loan or otherwise. Niasse comes across as a Palace type player to me (!

I agree, Rebic,Bats and Jovic would all be fab but you know it's going to be Niasse if West ham don't sign him first.

Serbian lad doing the business in Bundesliga.

I read somewhere he's actually on loan from Benfica.

I'd take him on loan, but not permanent. We should wait to spend our money when we find a really good striker we're convinced by, who can be a permanent solution, rather than wasting the budget on more average players.

Bit harsh, as there's plenty if palace players who have missed given the same chances...

Sorry Jovic wasn't mentioned in the last thread I quoted but he plays in Germany and is a striker.

His sadly out of our league.
