Never watched it - we don't have a telly.

No more like "The Life of...", we have another called Avi (as in Avraham). We're only missing the cat called Mohamed for the full set.

I'd rather read a book, or listen to music or watch a movie. Or even talk to her indoors.

Of course it is their preference and their desire. Does this make it acceptable? Absolutely not, we cannot sustain the numbers that are arriving, it is not just the odd inflatable from France. They are arriving everyday at Gatwick/Heathrow/Dover/Newhaven.
People who say they should be welcomed and have a right to be here think about the following:
1) Who are they? They arrive undocumented so can/do give any personal details
2) If they fear for their lives in Iran (or wherever)why are they predominantly young men who, if married, have left their wives behind?
3) You cannot also complain that the NHS/housing are stretched to the limit.

For those who feel my reply is that of a racist/xenophobe you could not be further from the truth, just that of someone who has been dealing with these people over many years

Keep saying it, they still won’t get it because it’s out of sight and out of mind.

I agree with number 1 but remember the asylum process is pretty thorough. It is before successfully completing that process where there is an issue.

But number 2 I have previously opined upon. If you want to move your family you send a man first. Women are in real danger on the journey. It only takes one member of the family to successfully claim asylum for the rest of the nuclear family to be allowed to join that person in the UK.

Regarding 3, immigrants historically are far less demanding on the NHS and on housing than indigenous people but pay more on average in taxes. So it is they that are funding the established population. We need to adjust the system to the demand they bring, they easily pay for themselves. And they are also highly over-represented in NHS employees.

You need to explain this as it makes no sense without context.
There are far more 'indigenous' people for starters and how exactly do illegals and other assorted immigrants pay more tax? They have been here five minutes and many are in low paid jobs.

Show us the data.
