When he joined Everton he said something along the lines of if Palace had made their offer sooner he would of joined us. Yed, I recall reading something similar at the time ... I do wonder if we actually did our homework prior to the window opening and moved decisively during it then maybe we wouldn't get mugged so often?

They are whether we like it or not reality is they always have & always will be. no shame in it, but people who think otherwise will spend a long time being dissapointed.

Does it really matter who said what and when if he can come now and do a job for us? Allardyce seemed to have a good eye for a decent player.

Incredible that anyone would hold what he said against him. He got a place at a bigger club (undoubtedly true) - what was he meant to say "nah I wanted to go and play for the boys in SE25? but instead I'm in sh!tty Liverpool?" I love Palace but I know where we stand in the desire league! And is really no different from what we have already? We have 2 big target meant - and Ayew. Isn't Tosun more like a natural goal scorer? And he's not so young so should be able to hit the ground running. We'd be lucky to get him.

Are we that desperate? We had a lucky escape with this fat dobber who snubbed us in favour of sitting on the bench at a mid table club, occasionally being subbed on not to score... I'd rather re-sign Akinbyi.

Has he signed yet? Usual deal will breakdown on deadline day, having bought a youngster with potential from the third division of the Macedonian league.

I'd rather re-sign Akinbyi. Did he snub us? We messed up by approaching his club at the last minute, according to various reports. And even if he had opted for Everton - what is wrong with that? They are a bigger club than us - he'd be looking at a chance of European football with them.
