Yeah but do you see people on here posting quotes from Tony Blair saying how we should listen to his wise words?

I'll help you out....NO

Even if that were the case it's surely not as bad using Neil Warnock to further your argument.

Don't think Warnock has lied to Parliment and the country and led us into an illegal war.

Perhaps you would like to answer my question about the 2nd referendum

As far as second referendums go, it was the tories who called for a second referendum because they did not like the result in Wales.

Also Mrs May herself voted against the result of the Welsh referendum.

So this is where your lectures and emotional blackmail are coming from.

Democracy my rear end....

I really struggle to get why Parliament doesn't get this - the referendum question was binary, I don't recall many objections at the time. If Parliament engineers a mechanism to stop the process, well that goes beyond holding the exec to account.

Indeed, The PMs proposal ticks the box from the referendum result, so MPs blocking it are acting against the PM executing on it.

Only trouble is, no one is happy with the proposal on either side of the remain/leave debate.

Maybe there needs to be a discussion about what Brexit should look like, which arguably should have happened even before the referendum, to allow people to know what they're putting their X next to.

By the way, no deal the EU gave us would have been a good deal so we should have expected this from the off. No excuses from our politicians on either side.

Thirded. Because it is actually Brexit.

The hilarious thing is the remain establishment rebranded "Brexit" as "No Deal" soon after the 2016 People's Vote, then applied the exact same terminology & scare tactics to "No Deal" as they did to Brexit during the referendum. Does the current wailing that "No deal will destroy the world as we know it" sound at all familiar? It's because they've done a find/replace for "Brexit" from the campaign.

And it's been relentless. Meanwhile, they serve up some BRINO s*** sandwich and call it "Brexit", and think we won't notice.

Wonder why it's the same argument of "control" (laws, borders, money, international trade) that "No deal" (ie Brexit) gives us, vs "but you'll destroy the economy if we go for no deal!!!"?

Because they are re-arguing a referendum we (stupidly) thought the electorate had already instructed these devious f***s to implement.

And now, in the end game, we have our "Bollocks to Brexit" car-sticker "neutral" Speaker taking a steaming turd on centuries of constitutional practice, just so he can serve to derail the legally-binding conclusion of an act of parliament.

I have never been so repulsed by our politicians.

Totally agree. The language used by remain politicians and campaigners which the media use is a disgrace. No deal = Brexit. Brilliant! And words such as 'cliff-edge' and 'crashing out' and 'People's vote' (second referendum by sore losers) is complete bollox used to undermine what the majority voted for.

This whole lack of respect for the vote by the likes of Grieve and Soubry shows what utter contempt MPs have for the people. We pay them and they represent US!

The people's faith in democracy will probably be lost forever if they don't deliver Brexit. And the remainers should think that it could have happened to them if they won the vote. Worrying times for democracy.

Revoking Article 50 is the right way to go to avoid Brexit completely.
