I have supported Palace since 1961 and been a member on this forum since 2005 ( not a fly-by-night )

A long time ago I asked for help to protect the Tamar Valley AONB. Now I'm asking again.

A Public Enquiry will be held on Feb 26 regarding the closure of a local road that runs alongside the AONB as a local business wants to dig it up for quarrying.

So I am asking for as many people as possible to object to the road closure by sending an email to:
nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk ref NATTRAN/SW/S247/3043

Deadline is 17th January, but I am sure all comments will be acceptable after this date.

The road is vital to our local community and must be retained. The closure would be another nail in rural life. You may not see much of it in London, but if you saw the AONB, you'd understand.

The more members of the public that make a objection comment, the better to prevent the road closure.

Tx.

Tx v much for the post.
This link is dated November 2017 for an original planning application (finally granted in Nov 2018 by Cornwall Council) to extend the quarry.
As it is now a road closure it has had to be escalated to the Dept for Transport and it is this that has the Public Enquiry on Feb 26th.
The quarry cannot extend into the AONB without the road closure. Second bite on the cherry for us.

PM me for further details and a copy of my 18 page submission. Tx everybody.
