What puts people off applying is the impression that they won't fit into an environment of privilege and elitism.

Perhaps different now but people I know from "normal " backgrounds had a miserable time. They were ostracised by the very people you mention and clung for dear life to small like minded groups.

Look at the highest earners in the west......Look at which groups make up the higher proportions, relative to population size, in the most mentally demanding professions.

It links to academic performance.....these things aren't accidents.

Jews? Only one type of Jew....and good luck to them. I'm rather partial to that aspect....but that type of Jew only top the list for one form of intelligence anyway. East Asians top the most important form....well in my view the most important.

Which type of Jew would that be? And for which type of intelligence does that type of Jew score highly? When you say East Asian are you referring to all the peoples of the far east? And which is the more important form of intelligence that they possess? The blank slate thing we can come back to if you don't mind. But for what it's worth I agree that you can't polish a turd. Ashkenazi Jews have the highest IQ average amongst Jews for high verbal and mathematical intelligence but interestingly they don't score well for spatial intelligence.

East Asians is a term used for ethnic groups that are indigenous to East Asia, which consists of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea, and Taiwan.....mathematical and visual-spatial intelligence.

Like I say when you look at the breakdown of groups within the hardest mentally demanding professions you will see these groups over representated by population size......It's not a good nor bad thing....It's nature with nurture aspects.....though some argue that beneficial nurture is itself evidence of the evolution of successful genetics.

Bottom line A pound to a pinch of s*** these were not the most academically equipped kids to go to oxbridge. It was positive discrimination and to not admit that is wrong. Just come out and say we are giving places to disadvantaged kids because it is politically correct in the present environment. Theyre just about to hang wayne hennesy ffs. Dont mind all the holier than though actions for that do they.

Bottom line
A pound to a pinch of s*** these were not the most academically equipped kids to go to oxbridge.
It was positive discrimination and to not admit that is wrong.
Just come out and say we are giving places to disadvantaged kids because it is politically correct in the present environment.

Agreed but it's hard to tell how people will turn out when they're still children and the IQ of their parents isn't going to offer any clues. I've known some utterly reprehensible Jews.
