I can understand some of the frustrations aimed at Roy but how in gods name can anyone think we will be better without him.

• Due to injuries, We have played the majority of this season with the same back 4. Wan Bisaka has been brought in by Roy and is now one of the best full backs in the divison. Our defence is one of the best organised in the division (the stats prove it)

• Sorloth was not bought by Roy, Awey was not bought by Roy. Managers do not scout and buy players.(times have changed) We have also played all of this season with no recognised striker, Hence Zaha and Townsensd up top.

• Max Meyer - we would all love to see him play more but he has looked out of his depth in a lot of games and I can only see him being a regular player when Benteke returns up top.

• Subsitutions, I agree on the frustration around this as is changes and timings are woeful, but Id I can only put that down to him not having faith in anyone on the bench. Thaf will soon change when we have more options.

Its boils my blood when people say we should swap Roy for the likes of David Wagner or Sean Dyche. Get a bloody grip folks and be very thankful for what we have. I pray that Roy will be here for a few years yet. If any other man took over when Roy did, we would br releagted.

You've dug yoyrself in quite deep on this when what you're saying is absolutely ludicrous.

In terms of stats, as you love them so much, Roy won 3 out of 11 tournament matches for England. How is anything else relevant?
Just to be sure, I looked it up: out of the 20 manager we've had, he's got the 9th best win ration, so I've got absolutely no clue what you're basing your 'facts' on.

In recent years, Capello, Allardyce, Eriksson, Hoddle and Southgate have better win percentages.

And as for wins? Ramsey 69. Hodgson 33. Alf's win percentages is superior too.

When England won the World Cup in 1966 they automatically qualified for the Finals as the host nation.

They then drew with Uruguay, beat Mexico, France, Argentina and Portugal before winning against West Germany in the Final.

So six games...won five and drew one.

!st of all, i never said winning a world cup was easy. i said its about winning around 6 games or so, a couple of knock out games in your group, then quarter final, semi final , final.
Having said that, winning tournaments is not the be all and end all in international football, though it seems to be so in your case.
Neither do i love stats, i only used them because of your claim that Hodgson was the worst manager to manage England,
You also obviously looked up the the wrong statisticians, try Wikipedia.
However, you were right about Ramsey V Hodgson.
Ramsey?s win ratio was 61.1%, Hodgson was a pathetic 58.9%, making Ramsey the 2nd best behind Coppello and Hodgson 4th best behind Hoddle on 60.1%.
He was also 4th best in the overall records behind Coppello, Ramsey 73'01% and Erricson 72.39% Hodgson had 72,32% missing 3rd place by .07%.
Not too bad for the one you call the worst England manager ever, considering the players he had to work with compared to the above.
I haven't included Southgate as he is still new at the job and might be the best by the time he finished, aso not included Alardyce as he only had one game.
This makes Hodgson the 4th best out of 17 managers.

Yeah, because every kid dreams about drubbing San Marino 4-0 in a qualifier or playing Nigeria in a friendly...

That world cup eh, for mugs.

Also, I'd love you to reference your figures regarding the 4th best ever because it's nonsense.

You've missed the point.

The world cup IS as easy as winning 5 games and drawing one: sounds so simple we should be winning it every time. So why don't we?

That's right. Because 'just' winning 5 games and drawing one at a world cup is actually as hard as Gary Glitter's underpants' slug whilst walking around Mothercare.

That is a excuse we haven't had that many injuries this season so the back 4 could of been changed Roy doesn't like to he has his favorites which is clear to see (just look at Kelly he had a very good game now not getting a look in again)

Regarding Sorloth it sounds like he was offered/found by others and then Roy made the choice to say yes to him (This is another problem with Roy he has no interest in being involved so hes letting the likes of SP and Freedman go do whatever regarding players)

You are wrong about managers do not scout/buy players top managers will be involved in that look at Pullis and Big Sam the signings they chose which is also why I expect both left wanting control which SP doesn't want that.

Whos fault is not having the striker SP? Roy? They knew coming into the season Wickham was injured the same with Benteke and Sorloth was available but wasn't used.

I agree about Max but you only get better by playing look again how he is being used not correctly he said when he came he prefers a role he is being used at times on the wing and it's like Roy just thinks you can drop people into the same roles when switching players.

Max at times has looked good going forward his does some good link up play it's the defense side hes not so great but he needs time and to be used correctly.

Roy has never been good at changing changes this is something that was spotted when he was at Liverpool and same thing we are moaning about happened their he comes unstuck doesn't know what to do (he is all about position work that's his skill everything else he is useless which is why you need other staff around you which we don't have)

I wouldn't swap Roy now maybe end of season get him to retire and then look towards the future or bring some one in to work with him then take over end of next season when his contract runs out (hes an old man you can really see that he is not good for the clubs future hes another just keep us in the league manager)

Thing is that apart from the two stints that Kember had in charge we've never had a manager who is so much one of our own. Much as I like Kember and he did very well in both of those stints, he isn't a patch on Roy Hodgson.

Like a lot of other Palace supporters I used to know Kember quite well and he's Palace to the core. Local bloke, Palace man and boy, better play than Roy so he didn't need to reinvent himself as a coach like Roy did.

Of course they're very old friends. I believe they grew up on the same street and their fathers even worked on the same bus as driver and conductor. Can you get better working class credentials than that? Probably not.

When you consider what Hodgson has achieved in his long career, he's quite easily the most experienced and talented manager we've ever had. OK so Very Terribles also managed Barca and England but Terribles was a crook. Roy by comparison is a gent.

So I'll take the losses and the frustration with his substitutions and all of the other negative stuff because I know that I'm unlikely to ever see another Croydoner of his calibre in the Selhurst dugout.

I like the fact that he got on his bike and learnt his trade in Europe. Pulled himself up by his own boot straps etc etc. I like the fact that he's well spoken, respectable, a regular bloke who speaks loads of languages and reads proper books.

I like Roy Hodgson. He's one of us.

Lovely sentiment. My dog has a hard luck, boy done good story and is as loyal as they come. Doesn't mean I'm going to put him in charge of running the household accounts!

(Although in fairness, he'd probably do as good a job or better)

Hear you go then, Wikipedia is my reference, ever heard of them? they do have a certain reputation as an encyclopedia, but your like a little schoolboy, you just can't admit your wrong, your hatred for Hodgson not only consumes you but also confuses you.
