If true I would worry about the here and now as our survival in the league isn't guaranteed at all. Need to be looking forward with the team and not trying to consolidate in a weak position.

If Luka got injured he’d be a good safety net

Can we still get YC out of the window if he is out of contract?

Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it..

Yes as long as we don't have 25 contracted players.

If our new keeper doesn't have to be included then we have one slot available as Ryan Inniss has returned from loan and therefore has to be included in the squad

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought u21 players don't have to be registered in the squad. Innes and Perri both may well count as U21?

Inniss is 23 but I don't think that Lucas Perri needs to be in the squad of 25 as he was under 21 at the beginning of 2018 so that does leave one space

If the links were true, you’d imagine that Parish was waiting to see if we could do some deals in the window. Now it’s shut, I would expect this to be the option we will turn to. Low cost and low risk. I think this would be a really smart way to finish off a good window.

Emergency cover out wide and up top with Sako
A genuinely class striker that can offer something different - Batshuayi
And cover in midfield without needing time to adapt to Roy’s style. - Cabaye

Plus we have cleared the deadwood and sent some kids out in loan, quite a turnaround I was pretty upset with the window this time yesterday.

It makes sense I hope you are right. Cabaye to come off the bench at 70 mins to keep possession so we don't throw away our lead. I saw a stat that we have done this more than any other club this season. We need to learn to shut up shop in the last 20 mins.

Would be a good option to have up to the end of the season, now the window has finished and sorted out a loan striker. However would be nice to think that we could have an attacking midfielder on the pitch in some games.

I think the other was Fulham. They got Markovic from Liverpool after the deadline.

I think the main thing we miss from Cabaye, was that he was always on at the ref, challenging every decision. He wasn't scared to put it about, would go toe to toe with anyone.

His combative spirit we have severely missed this season.

Love to have him back until the end of the season. Our first proper signing after we last got promoted. Got every Palace fan excited.

But would he want to come back, he did turn down a contract extension in the summer.
