'BBC Radio 4 sheds 750,000 listeners in year' [Link]

Is it any wonder? People are cottoning on to the fact Radio 4 actually has a bias and are instead flocking to less stuffy LBC. At least with presenters such as Nick Ferrari and James O'Brien, listeners pretty much know where their biases lie...

LBC have presenters from both sides of the political spectrum (e.g. both pro remain and pro Brexit) and they are very open about that.

Ultimately there are obvious reasons that people would flock away from the BBC but mainly the overt bias. Many people wouldn't renew their license fee given any kind of choice other than throwing away all their TV's.

Good post.

I like LBC because their presenters are not neutral and don't hide it. James O'Brian is a socialist who hates Corbyn for instance.

Meanwhile on the BBC they are selling the idea that they are not biased something I think people are finding increasingly hard to believe.

The BBC saying they are not biased, is like Bob Marley saying he didn't smoke weed.

Richard Baker and Angela Ripon told it how it was.

But this didn't sell enough airtime, and so the seeds of Fake News were sowed around the time of the Cold War.

If you want to know what's happening in the world,....look out the window. Everything else is opinion and biased.

Obviously if you’ve never heard of him, it can’t be important news to anyone.

Exactly, his parents probably wondered what he was up to.

Slight deviation, but Sky News is just as bad as the BBC as they have identical lines on their stories.

Talk about sucking up to Tony Blair. Is this journalism? Holding elites to account?

What?
