A controversial no-deal Brexit ferry contract awarded to a firm with no ships has been cancelled by the Department for Transport.

The decision by the transport secretary, Chris Grayling, to award Seaborne Freight a contract worth £13.8m had attracted widespread criticism.

Imagine if all the other pending disasters were cancelled how the UK could return to sanity.

The department of exiting the EU will be sending Ray Mears guide to bushcraft to every household.

Ray learnt his craft at Box Hill and is an expert on foraging and use of wild plants for medecines washing etc.

Brexit is brought to you by the conservative party.

Let us be clear about that.....

Strange! I thought it was brought to us by 52% of the voting public

Project Fear seems to dwell quite a lot on the fact that we're all going to starve after we have left the EU but having done the weekend shopping there is hardly anything that we are eating this weekend coming from Europe.

Popular citrus fruit is an obvious one but all of the meat I bought is English as are the vegetables

Have you given any consideration to how this food reached your shopping trolley? What did the animals eat? Who dug your potatoes? How much subsidy did the farmer receive? Who drove the lorry? Who owns the supermarket? What nationality was the bloke in the abbatoir? packaging, vets, fertilizers, etc etc.

It isn't only manufacturing that involves cross border cooperation.

I think EU tariffs on oranges is seasonal and varies in order to proect Spanish growers - we'll have to slum it with oranges from South Africa I guess.

Although he is right to suggest we are not exactly going to starve to death, I highly doubt any consideration has been given to the actual complexity of the issue judging from the overly simplistic and jaunty response. Aaaand extrapolate

Have you given any consideration to how this was done before the EU?

You know.....for most of Britain's history as a modern nation.

It's like people can only think in terms of a few decades.

I don't understand the relevance of most of your questions which look to me like you are arguing just for the sake of it.

Out of curiosity why does brexit bother you if you reside in Holland or where ever? Is it because you'll be asked to pay more tax to cover the EUs short fallings when the uk contributions stop?
