huddersfield gone, fulham almost gone.

we have played 2/3rd pf the season with no fit striker, we now have 3.

we are one of 6 teams who could realistically go down, but with roy in charge i am certain we will get the points needed to not be one of them.

Fulham having spent nearly £100 Mill in the summer.
And supporters turning against Ranieri believing he should start both Sessegnon and Cairney.Looking very bleak for them and I don't think many believed they would be in this position after they played really well last season.

Last season they were literally in a different league though, Willo.

Absolutely but they played some excellent football and I wouldn't have thought many would have predicted them to be relegated.

A slight aside, how funny was Burnley's third goal!! Blatant penalty not given to Brighton, then that handball turns out to be the "pass" that sets off Burnley's counter from which they win a penalty! Burnley getting a lot of luck, but they have a team built for scrapping results. Cardiff running on fumes, but I really hope they stay up. Partly because of the Sala tragedy but also because I'd like Warnock to finish his career on a high. Saints were truly awful against us and yesterday's result suggests that might not have been a blip. They still have some quality going forward but look suspect at the back. Newcastle should be fine with Benitez at the helm. I think Fulham and Huddersfield will be joined either by Saints or Cardiff.

Even neutrals can see we are lower than our performances suggest. Yes we are still failing to convert chances, but at least we are creating them. I almost wonder if there is a gypsy curse on the goals at SP (a Charlton pikey curse perhaps?) Maybe we could get Bill Nighy to dress up as a priest (Eddie Izzard as a nun?)and come on the pitch before the next home game and do an exorcism.

Anyway, based on our squad, our performances and our experience we should be fine, albeit we can't rest on our laurels.

I liked Burnley's first goal. The goalie moves his head away from the ball to avoid getting hit in the face. That's the kind of soldiers they've got battling for them!

We are around the middle of the current form table, Brighton are near the bottom. There's no room for complacency on our part, but I'd rather be us than them at the moment:

Yep, think they have 1 win in 11 and with Spurs, Arsenal and Citeh in the last 5 games.

Huddersfield are the only team with worse form than Brighton. Brighton just got tonked by the most woeful team I have ever seen at Selhurst and we just came back from a goal down to a team that are doing pretty well, to go four games unbeaten.

This is not the week where I am worrying about us. Try again another week.

Correction, I forgot about the Watford defeat! But still, our form is better than most of the teams around us.

Think Burnley are unbeaten in 7. Whatever they looked like at Selhurst the return fixture may well be tough if they continue their form.

If we get relegated with this group they’ll deserve some serious sh1t.

Every game this season has been a cagey affair, even when we have been dominant we haven't been able to put teams away with the required goals. Hoping that this might change. Wrighty reckons we are due to give somebody a spanking, let's hope this is sooner, rather than later. Positive is we have a strong defence, so have competed in most games, which could get us enough points but that isn't a certainty.

I think that was their problem, that we’re playing lovely passing football against lesser teams, can’t do that in the premier league unless you have top, top level players.

Well actually I used literally to distinguish my comment from the metaphor ‘a different league’. If you re-read the post I was responding to, you will see why.

England international Dunk falling on his arse was nice to see too!
