W.Indies shot out for 154.

Great, however would query if the pitches have been test match quality in this series.

123 runs ahead on first innings looks pretty good.

So now we could have Stokes caught Foulkes bowled Woakes?

Speaking of Woakes, it can't be his record, always chips in with runs and wickets.

I think I preferred it when the Windies were creaming us.

At least we had the cringe value......But here they were shocked by the pace of Wood and they have already lost this.

What is it with this England side.....Massive landslides whether they win or lose.

Even the best batsman struggle against real pace - hope he stays fit!

Dont think Woakes record outside England is that great. Might be wrong tho.

England should look at playing the right people suited to the conditions. The last Ashes tour was a joke as we had no one that could bowl over 85 mph. In Wood, Stone, and Archer England have 3 bowlers capable of 90mph + on a consistent basis. They should be the basis of our attack next visit down under.
Jimmy, Broad and Woakes (lost his pace since injury as he was our quickest bowler prior to that) are well suited to English conditions. They should be the basis of our attack at home.

As for this current test, Root is becoming a bit of a dead rubber specialist. England still have a big problem with their top 3, although I would stick with Burns but Jennings has had more than his fair share of chances and cannot play pace. When we next tour Asia I would bring him back as he is better than most against spin. If Denly can average 30+ at 3 I would also stick with him as there aren’t many options left (Ian Bell perhaps).

Well done Joe Root, showed great integrity.

I don't think I have been prouder of any England Captain of any sport.

Root needs to go back to just focusing on his batting.....I'm not sure that he's cut out for captaincy mentally....but he's the best batsman of his generation for sure.

I've probably have Stokes.

I agree with your view of Jennings and I just don't think Denly is good enough....but he and others have a chance to impress early summer.

It's going to be an interesting summer with positions up for grabs.

Rooty showed his mettle over the 'Gabriel' affair.

He did actually ask Root if he liked boys, and accused him of smiling as he bowled!

I am not in favour of the Aussie ashes pair being reprieved for the forthcoming Ashes, does anybody actually pay to watch abuse and cheating?

If they sledge just ban them, I just love cricket, not that.

Sledging is part of being in a test of your mettle.....it's a test match not a nunnery luncheon.

Gabriel has been thrown under the bus and the media have hyped a nothing into a something and the virtue signalers are having a field day.

Root said what is said on the field should stay on the field and then proceeded to drop the guy in it anyway.....getting a far lower paid cricketer a ban.

Personally I've lost respect for him.

The Australian three received bans for cheating.....not sledging.
