I remember being crushed against the central wall in the Arthur when some of our fans moved back as the fighting kicked off. That was not fun although, the site of a Brummy penguin on a stretcher was my most abiding memory. That was comedy gold. Oh and the fact that we demolished them 4-1. Mustn't forget that.

It was indeed nasty in the corner of the Arthur ...Punches and kicks coming from all sides and I remember people being pulled up into the seats above to try and escape the mayhem !!....Even when it settled down in the second half it went off again for a while in the seats in the Arthur and like your penguin on a stretcher it was a bit weird seeing Adolf Hitler along side a clown throwing punches !!!

I cant believe that was the eighties, god I am getting old. Remember the penguin, was one sight I never thought I would see at a match. As for rivalry, it will always be Brighton for the old rivalry as the new fluffy Brighton is just plastic supporters who are really only there for premier league matches and will disappear very quickly when relegated. Any set of fans that have ever dared use clappers in my eyes is an insult. Leicester another team who in the days of Filbert Street were a lively bunch(the 'babes' were pretty nasty) and yet now they have those poxy clappers ever week! And one other rivalry has to be that scummy disgrace of a club, Millwall who just thrive on their reputation and will always be a nasty little club with vile support who have no interest in football on the pitch and only what goes on off it.
Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs. |

All this ‘we hate Watford’ sentiment! It’s based on jealousy nothing else. They’re a soppy club with soppy fans ... there’s no rivalry to be had! Get a grip ...

I was in the middle of the holmesdale and could see everything. It looked like there was going to be another Hillsborough..... Thank god it wasn't. Bloody thick Brummies...

I must admit I am developing a disdain for Watford. Probably overly self-righteous but I see us far superior to them and they act like little upstarts but in reality they have generally performed better than us some how. I really do not rate them, a lot like Wolves, bit of a mystery.
