Amen to that. If they scupper our departure then as far as I am concerned our system of governance has no more legitimacy. Democracy would be dead and buried. Then will be no sitting back and accepting what our supposed betters tell us. This is a line in the sand moment.

There will be no return to any form of normality if they stop us from leaving in a meaningful way or try to make us vote again. Full on insurgency.

As I'm now too old to man the barricades, can I bring my knitting and just support from the sidelines?

If you took knitting needles to a pro-Brexit rally you'd be branded a "right wing extremest wielding offensive weapons" by the MSM.

LOL. There will be plenty of ways to play your part. Lot of chatter at the moment about the possibility of a mass boycott/paper spoiling exercise in the event of a second referendum.

Initially I was all for the boycott but am warming to this notion of spoiling the ballot papers. Imagine a result that contains millions of spoilt ballot papers, which have to be counted and announced. Absolutely undermine the legitamcy of it.

But people will have to do something because if they take this away from us and we sit back then we should be ashamed of ourselves. People died to maintain the integrity of our democratic system and it simply cannot be pushed to one side because w***ers did not like the result.

I have some confidence in Leave being voted for by a larger majority if we had a second referendum. If not, we ought to push for a third one. Best of three.

They are not going to give us a meaningful Leave option. This is the stab in the back. It will either be us having to take all the EU rules on Customs and the single market or else remaining.

This is what people need to wake up to. There is no more trying to tip-toe around what is about to happen.

We are now on the edge of our entire democractic system being effectively pushed to one side. And we all then have to make a choice about whether we acquiesce to that or resist. And that defines your individual legacy. How you will be defined when you die.

Sorry if this sounds a tad hyperbolic but the reality is that this is one of those turning points in the UK's history.

Very timely as May just confirms she will give MP’s the option of taking no deal off the table. At least we know when to expect the riots.

Good luck with that.

Promised votes can be pulled by May just as before.

Anything other than no deal is remain. As soon as it's off the table it's game over.

Got to do something. Already decided enough is enough in terms of people telling me that I failed to understand what I was voting for on June 23rd or that somehow I was an idiot because I did so in good faith that it would be implemented.

Purging my life of them today. Never lost a friendship over a political issue but today is the Rubicon moment for me. Had enough of having to listen to people try to lecture me that my vote has no validity.

End of the line for reasoned debate. We either leave the EU properly by March 30th or else all bets are off.
