We did our duty in 1945 to be where we are.
If these people haven’t got the balls to get their country back and prosperous then maybe we should violently help them with bombs and bullets.

I believe that the general point about celebrity p*** is correct and is being over shadowed by the racist implication. Far too many celebs virtue signal an issue and then leave someone else to do something about it. I have not seen the program nor do I know anything about Stacy Dooley to know if she is guilty of this. However people like Lilly Allen are. She had a day trip to Calais with a BBC film crew wept in the migrant camp apologised on behalf of the nation and then buggered off back home all to promote her latest album. The BBC should also think about this. It decided to send a film crew for a good cause (Comic Relief) well why do you need a celebrity why not ask someone who works in that field and has a track record e.g. a local or a charity relief worker. The media is obsessed with celebrities you don't need them for every TV show and we didn't in the past.* As for helping Africans we need to allow them free trade access so they can export their way out of poverty. Lammy may have highlighted this because she is white but I would say the same about Lenny Henry. Unless a celeb has a good track record e.g. Elton John and Aids they should leave well alone to those who do. *In the past the BBC and others would find an expert on a topic many of whom then became celebrities because of their personalities e.g. Patrick Moore.
