Southampton pay more than Ajax as well, but he still chose to go back - clearly it wasn't a financial decision.

Only that Southampton didn't want to pay him those wages anymore. Emphasized by the fact that they did nothing to keep him and let him go for a very low sum.

30 in November, suspect the 4 year contract from Ajax had something to do with the move.

He had another 2 years on his contract so Southampton were bound to pay the wages for 2 more years if he stayed. He has been sold for a figure below his market value and is probably earning less than he did at Soton. Clearly there are reasons that have not been shared why he has gone to Ajax.

That Dusan Tadic................seen the Real Madrid match.

He has 43 goals and assists this season for club and national team, excluding 8 which were just taken penalties that still leaves him with 35 in 3900 minutes played in the Eredivisie, the Champions League and international qualifiers, more than 3 quarters of those coming from wing position where he could make use of his left foot either to cross (from the left) or go inside the pitch and shoot (if on the right). Southampton was just using him wrong in the center.

Also, Tiquinho Soares from Porto just scored again taking them through to the last 8 in the Champions League and became their best scorer this season. This was the player that they were ready to cash in for 8 million at the start of the season and I said would have been my first choice for striker position together with the late Emiliano Sala.

Because Roy likes strikers who cant score

Congratulations, you must be proud - I don’t think anyone else knew Tadic was a good player.

Yeah, well, none of the other 19 PL squads decided to pay the little 10 million for him. And now there's talk that in the summer Man City and Bayern Munich want him. And Ajax is holding for at least 30 million. THAT is good business.

He was good in the PL for Southampton. Would have ben good at Palace too. If used in the right position

Some really good youngsters in that Ajax team.

Those too. But the central midfielder has gone to Barcelona for 80 million.

The central defender, de Ligt, is just 20 years old and they want 80 million as well.

David Neres is worth at least 50 million. Ziyech is worth a lot as well.

Lasse Schone is kind of old at 33.

The right back, Mazraoui, is good, but we have AWB. And he'd be expensive too. As would van de Beek be.

I think we could go for Zakaria Labyad, who hasn't come off the bench against Real Madrid, but is a really good offensive player and who doesn't get much playing time and is unhappy about it. Price would be 4-5 million.

And the keeper Onana is one I've always appreciated. If there are problems with keeping Guaita, he really should be a considered option. Though there's one in Fiorentina who I like more and they miight not even make it to the Europa League so could sell in the summer.
