Agreed.
New owners may finally get approval for us to relocate up the road.

Seconded.

Unrealistic or not.....I think Crystal Palace needs to go back to its roots......money has a way of making that happen.

we would defo need to extend the Tramlink (east and west of Upper Norwood) and widen the roads. Its a logistical bottleneck.

however, the old athletics track is ripe for demolition and putting something ambitious in its place.

and then Sainsbury's are welcome to rot in hell.

the 'Net-We-had' at the Etihad....again

These are truly high flying years for the club......If we can just catch a few breaks from here....who knows what can happen.

It may be too much to ask for more luck considering how the breaks fell for us getting out of the Championship......but a lad can dream.

This really makes me wonder

They can’t be in for a big return on their investment. Why bale now?

I expected a longer holding period and a 300% plus multiple on exit.

God knows what's been going on behind the scenes.

Oh the stuff that must get whispered into Susanna Reid's ears.....lets alone what else finds its way into them.

Wasn’t it their money that was funding it ? May explain why the redevelopment has all gone quiet ?

That was the case initially, but it seems like that initial £50 million or so wouldn't be nearly enough anyway. I also get the impression that the ringfenced money was used for other things, quite a while before the redevelopment was announced. So perhaps loans and whatnot were expected to fund it anyway. Who knows.

I could of course be wrong and they were expected to be the main funders of the expansion, but it just doesn't seem plausible at all now we know the likely overall cost. They were never sugar daddies.

I am not really sure of the figures involved but most investors in football clubs would like to increase the value of their investment whilst spending as little as possible, and many investors over the years lose more than they gain, so perhaps with big money needed for redevelopment very soon would it add value to their investment, maybe but could be risky quit while ahead ?

Parish let it slip out unintentionally that there would be long term season tickets in the new stand to help finance the building of it. There’s your clue.

A white elephant ... it would cripple the club without simultaneous investment in players.

BIG money would be required to make a case for relocation to Crystal Palace and the local infrastructure upgrades ... something on the scale of a successful Olympic bid.

Yep, I know....I'm probably being unrealistic, still, it's always been my first choice.

We need to catch a break....even if we stay at Selhurst to expand the gate.
