My judgement was based purely on having seen AWB on numerous occasions. In my humble opinion he is behind both Tripper and Alexander-Arnold who of course also have more experience.

Instead of calling out Willo how about giving us all the benefit of your opinion

Not sure why you’ve decided to involve yourself, but sure;

I think Trippier has had an awful season; that, combined with the fact that he is coming back from injury, mean I think it’s a ridiculous decision to select him over Wan-Bissaka.

Not yet enough experience to play for England . Still has some positional play and passing skills to develop to be able to justify a place in the England lineup. It will come in due course I am sure.

For all the criticism of Southgate I don’t think you can criticise that his selections are conservative and dominated by the big teams. Especially if you compare current squads to previous sides from 2-3 years ago.
I don’t agree with the decision but can understand it:
Probably better for development to play full games for the under 21s - particularly with a European championship coming up this summer. If he does well it could help him gain championship experience with England which will help when he is ( I assume) selected going into the 2020 euros.
England are playing fairly weak opposition this round - awb is obviously an incredible tackler, but I think his passing still needs to improve and patient ball retention will probably be important. Trippier, who I don’t think many people would argue has had a better season than him, does offer more crossing wise and in passing, so does Trent Alexander Arnold.
His time will come, he’s only young and no need to panic.

Disappointed for the lad but it is still early days.

Not disappointed that he won't be playing additional games with the risk of injury. We need him for the rest of the season, certainly until we are safe.

I actively hope that he plays for Congo. What is the point in being the best English right-back and not getting selected? Just like Wilf, simply because he is not at a fashionable side. Notice when Wilf was at Man U and not playing, he still got closer to England selection. England must worry about sponsors, advertising and shirt-sales - otherwise they would simply select the best players regardless of club. One would have thought the FA has enough money as it is but I guess they have a greed that cannot be satiated no matter what.
Also - the other selected full backs. Trippier has been injured and has not been playing well. Alexander-Arnold cannot defend and is more of a winger - very inconsistent to the point of being pretty poor quite often.
Walker - lacks awareness and composure.
Others are not full backs.
Wan Bissaka can defend and attack and seems to be well rounded. England need him but are too stupid/ stubborn to see it.
Southgate has form for not selecting Palace. Doesn't bother me. At least they don't have to mix with those pratts.

In addition, AWB doesn't take set pieces. Trippier and Trent Alexander Arnold are both likely to be the designated corner taker. Which is a key pert of Southgate's tactics.

Southgate is building a squad, which means that each player isn't necessarily at the top of his form when selected, but has proved in the past that they bring something to the party, presumably/often not always just playing ability but also influence in the dressing room, experience or whatever. So sometimes he won't drop players simply because their form may have dipped a little.
AWB is clearly a fantastic player with excellent stats and will play for England in due course, probably this year, assuming he doesn't choose another country.

I know it’s not exactly on topic but why was andros completely ignored again ? He’s played out of his skin for most part of the season which I would of thought would merit him a call up

The England squad in last summer's World Cup was pants and Gareth Southgate's "management skills" underwhelmed me. It was merely a fluke they got as far as they did.

No dishonour being overlooked for the England squad ... go and play for someone else!
