Makes you think how Thatcher would of dealt with this, love her or hate her, I doubt she would of put up with unelected EU negotiators, take the pee out of us.

Margaret Thatcher was completely opposed to referendums and none of this would have taken place.

I have no great love for Thatcher due to the entirely nihilistic culture that bred out of her politics in the 1980’s but she would have tried to take us out any way she could. Those kind of politicians simply no longer exist.

No she would emphatically not, nor was there any such proposal during her premiership.

Her only power is to refuse the Royal Assent to any particular piece of legislation, which would prevent it becoming Law.

The last monarch to defy Parliament's wishes inthis was was Charles I....... and look what happened to him!
