Have they caved in with Wilf?
He's got a long contract, Parish has no reason to cave. Unless someone offers more than hes worth (£50m-£60m) He wont be going anywhere.
I would imagine at the end of the season, Parish will offer him a new 5 year deal and triple his money.

Every player has their price. Ours for AWB should reflect the replacement cost, inclusive of the incoming player's wages. With our transfer market renown, that price should be roughly £780 million.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Even if his head is swayed by big clubs proposedly coming in for him i don't think he'll go for at least another year, maybe 2, i can also see Wilf having a word with him guiding him with what he went through for perspective, though he'll end up telling him to just do what he thinks is right or something.

At his age he will want to play football which might be in our favour.
However - without a pay rise and with United looking for a new long term right back we may well have a problem holding on to him.
If he went there he would get a lot of game time sadly as Ashley Young is past it in that position now.
I desperately want him to stay but the stars of Wilf staying and huge income increase will need to align otherwise he will be off for sure.
He is England's long term right back so he has to do what is best for him.

With the overdose of rumours regarding AWB & now the possibility of him being selected for England I'm hoping we knock back any offers & keep him at Selhurst. How long before the board caves in & sells ?

The board I don’t remember ever selling a player they didn’t want to leave. Can’t see AWB being any different, unless a ridiculous offer comes in.

Didn’t City spend £60m on a left back? Why would AWB be a penny cheaper....

Just a thought here so don’t shoot me.
Players often move positions over their careers so could Aaron do
a decent job in central midfield?
He has a good touch, excellent positional sense and nobody in the premiership can tackle like him, his timing is immense.
With more experience do you think he could move into this role?

Think it's pretty decent considering he's in his first full season. He certainly makes some great clearances from within our box when defending shots/crosses. Has he got room to improve? Of course. Has he already got good positional sense to build on considering his age and lack of experience? Absolutely.

Totally agree. But the comment was that he has excellent positional sense...and it is far from excellent. Have no doubt it will be in thd future, but at the moment it is one of thd areas he needs to improve on.

Article in Saturday's Times on the lad:

Given the noise about him at this stage of the season, I fear a move may be inevitable.

If Spurs do offer £30m I think the club will sell him, unfortunately.

I know he's young & this is his first major season but given his incredible stats I'd like to think we'd be able to get more for him, with his current wages what would it cost us to get a replacement in, unless able to find a youngster on a low wage I reckon we'll need to put out a good fee & wages to adequately fill that side of the defence. Hopefully Wilf will have a word & the board will up his wages
