If Ant and Deck were commenting on it...perhaps they would say, tongue in cheek.....That's very very racist....So very very racist. Lets not worry about saving people's lives.....Lets worry about the offending people over being profiled. Indeed, those people who fought against common sense 'stop and search' are partly responsible for the huge increases in blood.

Edited by Stirlingsays (31 Mar 2019 7.39pm) David Lammy being a prime example of course. I can recall vividly being stopped in the mid& late 70s when I was a Punk, sometimes by the SPG. It was something you got used to.

Just heard the latest about Mayor Cannot. As well as increasing staffing costs at city hall by 52% it seems he has increased the budget on culture by 11m. I am all in favour of culture but right now I think he has bigger problems his argument of course is culture is good for tourism and the economy on that point he is right. But tourists come to London to see the museums, art galleries buildings and parks etc. none of which he is spending the money on. I'm not sure that spending money on speed dating or increasing diversity within the movie industry (can't they do that) is a good use of our money. And have you seen your council tax bill? We got stiffed with an 8.9% tax hike by the Mayor and yet he still wants more money for policing. The other day there was a story about a woman on benefits she received a £900 energy bill which she can't afford to pay but she could afford to go for beauty treatment at a salon on the same day. Relative of yours was she Mr Mayor?

A racist classification. In any case, factually, around 80% of the English population is white. 60% of London's population is white. So if you are worried about your English "master race" being diluted, there is a long way to go. In my experience most racists are quite thick, have little time for education and long for a England than never existed. Meanwhile, most immigrants have come a long way to improve their lives and make sure their kids are educated and look to the future. Immigration might save us English whiteys from ourselves. Be careful, stirling, One day you might even see a non-white face is Wisbech. Then there will only be the sea to run into!

The first realisation that in reality this is much more nuanced came many years ago now from talking this point over with a successful A level Indian but English born student I had. He told me he wasn't English but that he was British.....I said, you're making the BNP's argument for them, you're saying that to be English is to be white. He agreed, that for him that was true. I came to realise that essentially the thinking in most of the world and hence cultures is actually no different to what you call 'racist'. There is a national identity and genetics are a factor in that. But essentially I'm not someone who says that being English means you have to be white. That's because a skin colour is one attribute to genetics anyway plus there is and has always been a powerful claim made by where your birthplace is. So essentially for me, being English comes down to...firstly an allegiance to being English....actually identifying as English and the culture. The genetics of being white has a definite historic stamp to it, but it remains as a different question to being English. The 'white' aspect I've come to realise is more about the long term survival of that genetically.....which won't happen with continual mass immigration into Europe. You are aware aren't you that it was nearly 100 percent for thousands of years and only changed in any meaningful sense after WW2. The pace of change has dramatically increased and now whites are a minority in London and projected to be by 2021 in Birmingham...the second largest city in England. The 'master race' nonsense is of course a pure nonsense and nothing but a tool to demonise this argument.
