I see that Portsmouth won the EFL Trophy this afternoon after beating Sunderland on pens.

I have alot of time for Portsmouth given the way they almost went of business like ourselves, and the supporters remained behind them to dig them out of trouble.

Not like Sunderland, whose stadium of sh*te, is like a ghost town when things go sour.

Seconded, Pompey have good, loyal supporters and after their near demise really happy for them.

Although I've had a few hairy visits to Fratton Park down the years, I've always admired their passion for their club.

Easily the best fans of the south coast teams !

Good to see them on the up again.

Brighton seem to really dislike Portsmouth, jealous of their passionate fans I expect.

Good to see both sets of fans filling up the ground.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Zenith Data Systems was better.

Someone I know who has trouble with names and words kept referring to the tournament as the 'Zenith Windows Cup' and I had to kept correcting him.

Returning to Portsmouth they are supported at home with crowds of 17/18,000 which of course is excellent for a team in that division.Passionate supporters in a proper old stadium !

I don't quite agree with the sentiment, although not necessarily the clubs fault, the club acted recklessly and effectively bought success from money they didn't have, and although they suffered and spiralled down the divisions they were able to write off most of that legacy debt. Debt mostly owed to you and me taxpayer. Although not at fault their fans not only enjoyed their stint in the premiership and winning the FA Cup, they were able buy the ground back and effectively wipe out their debt which is very unfair on other clubs who don't act recklessly and live within their means. I also read that they sacked staff who gave their lives to the club and knocked loads of local businesses for money whilst still paying millions to footballers.

You're not too bothered about loss of tax revenues? You seemed pretty angry about it on the politics section

What did i say about tax then?
I said the 2 billion benefit fraud made me angry but you seemed to think that was ok and acceptable.
