I don't know about that. Macca has really proved to be quality for us. He's been solid from end to end, great link up play out wide and a fantastic game against Leicester. Roy puts his trust in him for a reason

Yes, good description. He seems to run slowly with the ball but doesn’t lose it and releases it well.

He reminds me a bit of Papa Boupa Diop aka 'The Wardrobe' who played for Fulham about 10 years ago. A bit more agile and skilful than Diop and defo an enforcer and man mountain in the middle of the park.

Good under the radar signing.

If you are reading this Roy, just to remind you that Cheikhou Kouyate was sitting behind you on the subs bench yesterday against Brighton except for the odd run down the touchline to warm up. You didnt use him and we really Coulthard have done with him in midfield as it needed some steel.........just saying!

Bring back Brolin

With Roys obsession with always playing Schlupp
, how about Kouyate at CB and get him deservedly in the starting
eleven
Tall, mobile, quick and a good reader of the game ... surely worth
a punt

He's made it into the pro game as a CDM, we should be playing him there now which is where Schlupp is playing. Not quite sure where you get the CB link from?

Not for me, he is good enough in midfield and our centre backs do a good enough job

When we signed him I think, from memory, both Tony Gale and the player himself said he can play at centre back.

He did play some games at centre back for West Ham in his first season there but can't really remember how it went. I prefer him in midfield as he seems to be one of the few midfielders we have who can retain the ball and find a team mate

If only this were true! This one quality is noticeably lacking in our midfield, even Max Meyer is being programmed to 'get rid of it quick' Oh for a Fabrigas
Scott Parker who had the confidence to hold the ball.

Kouyate is a proper box-to-box player who is very good at covering player's backs when they push on but also adds a real physical presence in the middle of the park and in the opposing box. He isn't the best passer, but when he keeps it simple is very effective. Schlupp has started disappearing again after a purple patch so I'd stick CK back in tonight. Mind you, I'd also bring McArthur back in for Meyer, as he gets at the opposition and breaks the game up well.
