Chicago has elected a new mayor. Lori Lightfoot defeated Toni Preckwinkle (good names). Ms Preckwinkle apparently lost a lot of support following an attempt to introduce a sugar tax on soft drinks. In a city with 82 murders in 2019 that seems an odd priority.

You just dont get names like that in the UK.

Preckwinkle and Lightfoot for some reason reminds me of Mulligan on O'Hare.

Chicago has a huge amount of issues so lets hope Lightfoot can tread lightly as she fixes some problems.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Look at what the Democrats have done to previously far more successful cities like California, Detroit and Chicago......well ok, the first two.

Welfare and race means there likely won't be any change. The Candace Owens of the world are just too few in number.

I wonder how many votes she would get if she stood.

No....even more amazing then, how these wombats managed to reduce large parts of the state into resembling a third world rubbish heap.

Not predictable at all that was it.

when Marxist Corbyn gets into power London will finally morph into the Londonnesburg that has already reared its ugly head.

Chicago will look like a paradise by comparison.

Corbyn is a complete disaster without a doubt.

However, at least a few years of that clown would teach the middle class wallies fresh out of the universities and the working man who has never seen economic socialism exactly why it's a fool's mirage......and calling what Corbyn stands behind as economic socialism is a very kind description.....it's certainly a very far left version of it.
