Indeed I was pondering as to which of the youngsters was 'banging on the door' for a place in a PL line-up.

I am of the opinion that you always play your best/strongest side.Okay, if there is an outstanding youngster then perhaps, once safety is assured, you could give him a run out, but it shouldn't be at the expense of a player who has been performing well.

Previous posters have made valid points on why we shouldn't be putting out a weakened side :
it's unfair to other clubs if we don't attempt to compete as best we can;
there is a sizeable chunk of money to be earned for each place we climb in the table;
it's a disservice to players to be dropped just on the grounds of giving a place to a youngster.

And, as a fan, I've seen far few too victories at home this season and I'd like to see a couple more.

If they were good enough, they’d be in the team already, ala AWB. We unearth a gem every few years, but that’s about it.
