He made long lasting bad decisions for the GoP for short term political gain with justifications to his base that turned out to be falsehoods.

I'm not fond of politicians who sell out future generations
because they have idealistic notions that everything works out in the end.

Trump is selling out future generations on climate change and on electoral reliability by giving Putin a pass.

Having unfairly influenced future elections and a polluted planet is the ultimate sell out.

And yet you support Trump?

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Well, I have criticisms of Trump like I have criticisms of all things, including myself. However, he's definitely more my type of politician than Clinton....and when I look at the Democratic party right now I'm looking at a collection of fruitcakes.

Let's look at both your main contentions.

Once again, I have to state the cast iron fact that nothing Trump does on the climate makes the slightest difference. All your comments on this area are wildly exaggerated.

Like I said, and will be proved correct on....it's technology or bust and the US are among the leaders on some exciting developments in taking carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere.

And again, this notion that foreign governmental interference in the US elections was something new or note worthy is on one hand....massively exaggerated as to what effect if any it had....and on the second hand a complete hypocrisy. The west, including us and the US have been meddling in foreign elections for decades....Hell, that's one of the reasons Putin is pissed off (though Putin himself is of course a hyprocrite).

Hell, you are still hanging onto Russian collusion, and wrote several posts on here defending the idea that something will still come from that.....which is essentially a conspiracy theory at this point.

You need to admit to yourself that your dislike for Trump has interfered with your ability to rationalise what he does objectivity.

The democrats should be embracing and learning from people like Andrew Yang.....Instead we get Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nancy Pelosi.

Can you explain in more detail what Trump has done to impact future generations on climate change?

Also, can you provide evidence he has given Putin a pass?

Firstly, Trump has increased military spending to send a message to the likes of Russia and China after Obama reduced it by 25%.

Obama refused Ukraine anti-tank weapons to fight the Russians in 2015 when they asked for them. They now have them thanks to Trump.

Obama's policies in the Middle East, which created the vacuum for ISIS, allowed in the Russian military and they work with Syrians and Iranians in Syria. Trump has stepped up military efforts there and taken out anyone - including Russian-backed forced - to defeat ISIS.

Trump is fully supporting the European Deterrence Initiative to stop Russia expansion and requested 17bn dollars, compared to 5bn dollars in Obama's last three years at the helm.

Trump has spoken out about Germany relying on Russian natural gas which is enriching Putin's country. Under Trump's policies, the US is fully energy self-sufficient again.

Sanctions on Russia for their 2014 invasion of Crimea have not been lifted. Trump has imposed multiple further sanctions on Russia and many of their elites.

Could he impose more sanctions, probably. Should he not praise Putin so much, probably. But to say he has given Putin a pass is simply not true. Especially when Obama watched Putin take Crimea. Remember when the Obama administration "reset" US relations with Russia? That worked well.

Date for you're diaries for all of you who have TDS?
Kind of amazing that they can have African despots visit alongside maniacal middle eastern Islamists as well as South American socialists. Yet It's the President of the USA these bed wetting benders get all bent out of shape about.......

Considering America’s contribution to the war in Europe it would be unthinkable not to do this. It’s not about him - it’s about the sacrifice others made. Of course some people might not see it that way.

Leftists throwing their toys out of the pram because the leader of the country they hate is a right winger. The US is not only the most powerful country but the bastion of capitalism. Their so called 'reasons' are not only brain dead but also hypocritical when not adopted for some of the most dodgy despots who also visit.

Surprise! Presidential front-runner Bernie Sanders, who is a radical socialist and has spent his entire career decrying the nasty capitalist system, has confirmed that he is in fact a millionaire! He is that same 'immoral' rich person in the 1% he claims we should all hate. [Link]

He represents everything they hate. They regard him as a symbol of the dysfunctional past whereas I regard their attitudes as far more dysfunctional and harmful than his.

Instinctively Trump gains a huge electional following that's clearly a counterpoint to his clearly quite unpleasant personality.....because people, both men and women know where they are with him. He is the beginning of a white male identitrian vote.....essentially because they have no one else to vote for.

Andrew Yang is quite interesting....even though he's a democrat he's clearly not a fruitcake nor a player of victim politics and has lots of interesting ideas on how to move ahead into the modern age.

In the short to mid term 5-10 years I see Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson making big moves in the GoP....because that's how politics moves in the modern age.....and maybe....god forbid Ben Shapiro.

You notice that with many...if not all socialists. They are all about equality but not for their own personal bank balance or where they live.

Then it becomes about meritocracy......It's always about meritocracy in the spheres that they themselves do well in......For everything else.....It's about equality.

You can see the difference in words and deeds even on the Labour front bench.....The 'privileged' socialists advocating comprehensive education for others while sending their own children to independent schools.

You do get real socialists of course.....but the hypocrisy from that ideological demographic is particularly strong because they base so much of their legitimacy on a sense of supposed morality......which usually when you actually look at the individual themselves is pretty hypocritical.

As Orwell wrote, 'All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.' He was of course a socialist himself but also one who was hypercritical of how many fellow socialists viewed it.
