I'd like to see the players get off his back a bit.

The amount of times they screamed at him for short distribution because they were facing him shouting for the pass and from my position in the Upper Holmesdale, every single time Guita was absolutely right not to because there was a Huddersfield player ready to pounce.

I get that footballers generally think they are skillful enough to hold the ball under pressure and if they ask for it short the GK should give it to them but considering the amount of times Luka under a bit of pressure has passed it to an on-coming striker and he's one of the better ones.

Considering Guita's other options were Schlupp and PVA no wonder he didn't think they could handle a short ball under immediate pressure. But he got massively dug out for it.

At times, there were three Huddersfield players pushing up preventing the short pass so it was too dangerous to play a short ball.Obviously a tactic to force us to go long.

Some harsh comments earlier in this thread.
One or two mistakes and people jumped on his back.
What is it now? Seven clean sheets in about 15 games this season? And he can claim another 1/2 game for the Watford game too!
All this from someone who is new to the team and the country.
I think we're very lucky to have him.

Well done Vicente

Had another good game today, sometimes a bit unorthodox but his positioning and concentration cannot be faulted he actually makes some of the saves look easier than they really are.

Our no 1 for years to come! Well done again, VG - you kept us in the game.
Only need to improve on his goal kicking - too many attempts out of or near out of the pitch (in front of the benches).

Well another vital first goal conceded by Vincente. A good strike but went in near post where he was actually standing . If he had not moved and stood up it would have hit him.

I like the guy but he went and made himself small for the first goal yesterday - should have stood tall.
Other than that he had a good game I thought.

Yes I agree.
Beaten at his near post for the third goal so critics might see this as a 'Faux pas' as well.

On the positive side he kept us in the Huddersfield game with two good saves. But for these saves they would have led 2-0.

You’re right, of course. However there were other players out there who were more culpable for that first goal, namely our left back, in my opinion.

I can remember Hennessey beaten at his near post by a fierce shot from six yards out by a completely unmarked attacker. Wayne was slaughtered on here because it was in on his near post yet Guita gets away with anything because the Guita lovers have rose tinted specs and see no wrong in him at all.

for the first goal he was on his knees before the ball was kicked . He has to make himself look large at times like this , as all top goalkeepers do
