Our attitude in both games was horrendous though. Never ever had the feeling the passion of a derby game, and steel and grit to grind out a result was in the team. So looking at it that way bottling is perhaps the right expression.

They defended very well in both we didn't bottle it, Spurs struggled last night and they have some excellent players ..we make mistakes because we can not attract the same class of players and our attack line is very faulty anyway. Tomkins made two horrendous mistakes in both games and only one of their goals was actually scored properly by Knockhard without the help of officials, you must get this right the only Palace player to bottle it was Tomkins!

No, we have played the same way all season, we play to wear teams down ..best example the away game at Wolves, we were playing the same at Brighton before the ref awarded the stupid pen and at home before the silly attempted clearance from Tomkins, Brighton are very good once in front ..you know that.

A club like Palace may not deserve to get stuffed away at Cardiff??? but I hope we do

Playing Palace seems to be the 'kiss of death' if you are threatened by relegation.

Especially if PVA is about.

We will be looking for a professional performance at Cardiff, I think that is what we will get.

Such a shame it is Warnock and not Solskaer, not nearly so satisfying.

Yes, due to a ref decision that next season will not happen and a Tomkins mistake because he was not concentrating from a simple Brighton booted clearance from a Palace attack, it just happened to then fall on a plate for Murray ..more luck then judgement wasn't it.

Knockhards winner could have gone anywhere truth be told, but it was a perfect shot on the day.

Yet in certain games you want to sense passion and a determination to go for it. Watford away for the cup and both Brighton games would surely be among those. And though I was only in the ground for the Brighton home game you felt it was lacking and that is not just about tactics. Nor is it that loosing games is the problem. Spurs away comes to mind too, what an opportunity to write history. Yet we only start playing after we go 2 down. Yes we have been defensive and tried to catch teams on the break and as such sat back most games, but I have felt a sense lacking passion in the team overall.

I expect our lads to put in a professional performance and I expect Hodgson to pick the strongest U12 side we have.

Chris Hughton has said that the Newcastle game is NOT a must win game for Brighton. The bloke has completely lost it as it looks the only winnable game they have left. God knows what the Brighton fans must think about that comment.

If Cardiff don’t pick up a point against Fulham I think a draw with Newcastle will see Brighton safe.
