Downsizing
Loose Women
Jeremy Kyle

Jaws - but mainly because Sharks make me do a brown in my pants.

Yes, oh yes.

Banish that annoying fat t*** from our screens forever.

Jeremy Kyle and Loose Women are no brainers.

The first three Spiderman movies were pretty good. Not having that.

Tommy Gunn one. The more recent one was absurd but I did like his little speech to his son, so I'll let him have that one.

I have a canvas of that on the wall in my home gym.

Not exactly Kipling but appropriate.

The last series of Doctor Who.

Can we just pretend it didn't happen? It was an embarrassment to Britain.

Agreed.

I have probably watched every episode and remember rushing back from Selhurst Park in the early seventies to catch Jon Pertwee as there was no VCR or repeats in those days.

Doctor Who used to be a battle of good against evil but now it's just political correctness gone mad

Me too (pardon the pun). A relative appeared in quite a few usually wearing a rubber monster suit.

I stopped watching halfway through the Peter Capaldi character. I saw the line up for the new female doctor and didn't bother to watch after 50 years.

By the way how comes the doctor is female and not "trans"?

Such a shame to me that show will always be about scary monsters and not social justice.

It was so bad that the fact that we had a female Doctor was almost incidental.
She was the wrong choice for me. Overtly regional in the worst way and playing it like someone who was instructed to be as dumbed down as possible without actually having their brain removed.
And then there was Bradley Walsh. A total bellend at the best of times but hitting a new low in this.

The casting was bordering on offensive. We live in a country where 85% White and yet they were often in a minority on the screen. Doctor Who is now a vehicle to promote 'BBC' values and minority interests. It was so evident that even my daughter, who is fairly liberal in her early twenties and has a number of Muslim and non White friend was texting me joking about it.

I would have liked to have seen Keely Hawes as the female doctor but only with a script written by a grown up.

I think what really annoyed me was the way the BBC trumpeted that this was sooo daring and innovative. It isn't there have been lots of sci-fi stories that involved gender change, Michael Moorcock to name one was doing this back in the sixties and seventies with his time traveller character.

It was neither new nor brave it was done because the rating since David Tennant have been falling faster and harder than Diane Abbot taking a dive.

Any cookery programme ever since I heard of Fanny Craddock as a kid and when my hormones kicked in expected her to be a p*** star and was bitterly disappointed.

My mum and nan were obsessed with the galloping gourmet when I was a kid

There are quite a few cookery programs which I assume is because they are cheap to make.

The only cookery program that I like watching is Rick Stein wherever he may be as he is a real wordsmith and can make me hungry just by listening to him.

Oddly enough despite being quite a reasonable cook I can't make any of his recipes work whereas everything in the Hairy Bikers cookbooks works but I don't really like watching them
